I tried a Tracfone sim card with a Nokia 1661 unlocked from T Mobile and it worked. Maybe is something in the low end Nokias that make them work with the Tracfone/Straight Talk sims.

LG Nexus 4 - T-Mobile (postpaid) with UNLIMITED DATA!! No more guessing games with ST
Nokia Lumia 521 - T-Mobile (prepaid)
Apple iPhone 4S - AT&T (not active)
Apple iPhone 4 - Verizon (Page Plus)
Apple iPad 2 - WiFi only
SBdunks have you tried the sim in any Blackberries?
I have an unlocked HTC HD2 working on ST. The account (sim) was activated inside a norkia E71. The HTC HD2 is from my previous T-Mobil account. Texting works just fine even sending pics via txt. I can't get the internet to work sadly. Does anybody know the Settings for ST internet? Wifi is the only way my weather app or internet will work.

That looks like the CDMA data settings. I'm kinda interested in whether or not the SIM for the E71 really isn't locked to the phone. I'd switch back to my iPhone 3GS if I could use it on AT&T's network with 3G for $45 a month. If it's just a question of data settings, there's gotta be a way to obtain them from the E71.
Picked up an E71 at the local Walmart and plugged it into Nokia Configuration Tool. Looks like it's using a proxy. Here's the APN settings:
