I picked mine up from a Best Buy in Toronto earlier this evening. I called a few BB stores in the area and this one had a few in stock.
For those who aren't ready to wait till whenever Telus gets more inventory, calling BB might be a good starting point.

Some guys over at redflagdeals forum says they've received shipping emails today, and someone who ordered on the 17th online from the Telus website received the unit today! Hopefully that's true!

It's possible that with all of their client, dealer, and retailer backorders they don't have unallocated stock yet. Or maybe they're still in the process of transferring them to the webstore inventory, so technically there aren't any in stock at the moment.

Tell me about it. It being out of stock isn't helping. I think I'm just going to abandon it and get a BB9700 and put OS 6.0 on it for the time being. I have to change my phone again after Christmas so it isn't like I'll have this phone for too long and I'll be able to familiarize myself with BB and see what the big deal about it is since all I've really ever known is the iPhone. Then I'll move into Android and see what's up. Unless the HTC magically is in stock in large quantities this upcoming week, I won't be getting it. Then again, who knows what will be out by that time.
Also, in-store employees can only see incoming shipments up to a day or two ahead. So if there is even a shipment that is coming in next week, they really wouldn't be able to know. It sucks that that is the case and it's not th eemployees' fault since they're not given much to work with, but c'est la vie.

I picked mine up from my local telus dealer yesterday. They had not expected to get any in for 2 weeks, so it was a great surprise to both them and me that they got some in stock. It seems that telus may have gotten another shipment and are slowly getting them out to people.

I ordered 2 about 2 weeks ago, and it took them 1 1/2 weeks to get here. Today they're both sold, so I have ordered 4 more.

I'm a dealer, and I put in an order for phones with our 'order page'.
They're back-ordered, but they do come in eventually. The last one took 1 1/2 weeks for 2. So I'm assuming I will wait about the same time for 4. I hope anyway...
