No problems here with my G2's hinge. Works fine.

The hinge on my G2 broke in a fall as a I tried to slip it into my back pocket. It'll cost me $110 deductible to get it replaced.
It was concrete but it was just my back pocket. If it broke in a fall like this I'll break the next one too.
Don't buy this phone.

this thread is a month old, anyone buy a phone very recently and still having these random issues with the hinge? any info on any possible design changes since release that are in the current devices ready for sale?
moving parts... they are bound to either get worse or fail completely over time... too much risk imo which is why i dismissed the G2 as a potential phone for me... would rather a straight up slider than the Z-hinge nonsense...
