Question How to use my STRAIGHTALK cell phone as a modem?

I am a brand new member of Howard Forums. I have an unlimited plan with Straight Talk. Can any one help me figure how to use my straight talk phone as a modem to my laptop for internet access?

Thank you all so very much.

    Maria

Best thing to do is to contact your service provider and ask them if it's possible in first place...!!!

    Good Luck!!!

What on earth is straightalk? And why are you posting about it in the Chatr Wireless forum??? This thread needs to be moved. This forum is not for straightalk. Look I know you're new, but seriously, did you even look at the forum you were in before posting?

    FIDO $55 unlimited w/5GB = $44.55 (BYOD 10% + add-a-line 10% discounts, $10/GB overage)
WIND $15 AITF unlimited data (10GB soft cap)

We have a Straight Talk forum under American Prepaid Cellular. Linky: http://www.howardforums.com/forumdis...-Straight-Talk

For the record, Straight Talk is a high-use prepaid cellular plan that only works in the States. There are two plans, a 1000 min./1000 text/30MB data plan for $30 monthly and an unlimited talk/text/data plan for $45 monthly. No tethering and only 2G data. There are Verizon and AT&T based versions. No bring your own device capablilty as all ST phones have special programming to use their service. Straight Talk is owned by America Movil, which also owns Tracfone, Net10, Safelink and Claro.
