It is against Straight Talk's terms of service to use your phone that way. Odds are if you are successful in doing it and are found out, they will brick your phone, you'll lose your number and the remaining days of service left in the month.

I have the Samsung Finesse SCH-R810 phone. After doing some research I found out that this phone has "NO INTERNET SHARING CAPABILITIES." Can anyone tell me if there is a way to turn this straight talk phone into a wireless modem for my laptop?
Thank you so much in advance.

Ok, thank you for the info. Can anyone give me advise in how to go wireless with my laptop?
i have heard about hacking a usb modem to where it uses free internet but it seems sketchy. one surefire way to get internet is to get this, or one of the items this guy sells, on ebay for long range wifi. it is a high gain antenna for wifi and it attaches to the back of your laptop! it is great! i use it all the time! i also bought the biggest unit this guy sells, and it really isn't the greatest. the portable one is great though! here is the link:

lemme know how you feel about my post! i will be glad to answer any questions you have periera!
High gain antenna-- hahaha
In other words..... steal the WiFi bandwidth from your neighbors who are too stupid to password protect their router? Not briefly, but on a long-time permanent basis. And hope no one in your house ever does anything illegal to get caught- like illegal P2P song downloading. Or kid-porn- like that guy did that the cops caught a while back. Or even break his data cap that his ISP placed on him. Or when he complains about why his computers are running so slow and he has one of his geek friends look at his router's logs......well..... hahaha.
On the otherhand, maybe he lives next door to McDonalds.
well it works. i happen to live in an area where internet cannot reach except sattelite which is expensive. whoever has sattellite internet near me, i get. its not illegal if it is unsecured. if it is secured and you hack it, then it is illegal. i would think actually hacking a phone to get internet would be more illegal, because you are entering a companies' jurisdiction. if you successfully hack the phone, then you are at the mercy of the company, if they figure out that you are stealing data from them. they could pull through with a heavy lawsuit. a local neighbor with an unsecured wifi connection that is just out of reach sounds a little bit less risky if you ask me. and easier also.
