Are we going to something like 1024x600, which would be the same pixel density (614,400) as the iPhone, but probably a lower dpi as I'm sure the display will be larger than 3.5 inches? Or are we going to do the full monty and get to 1280x720 (or 1280x768)? Not sure there's an advantage to 720, aside from native rendering of 720 streams, because the lower brightness and higher GPU requirements might make it less desirable.
If the report is to believed, it does address the screen size - 4 inches.

I doubt it will get Droid branding if it is sold on other carriers. Plus, lack of Droid = lots of Bing for sure. Booo!

I hope that the verizon version has the Droid Branding but if it doesn't than I'll be sure to jump on the NEXUS TWO

I wonder when we can get some leaked pics of the T2 and/or Olympus?

you people are nuts always getting hyped up for the next unreleased phone on the pipeline than ignoring it when it comes out because you hear rumors about a new phone.. Just get the Droid x on a one year plan or something..

Pictures would be useful as well as some "firm" specs. Maybe starting before CES?

Quite honestly the Droid X isn't that much better than the Droid. I don't care about the 4.3" screen that much. My Droid is clocked at 1.25ghz so I'm not having any speed problems. My fiance has the D2 which has the same processor as the DX and I can't tell much difference between it and my Droid. So I'm waiting for this phone cause it'll actually be a big step up from my Droid not to mention there's an upgrade to the OS coming.

Keeping a Droid for another 4-6 months makes someone crazy? Interesting.

Droid X is a great phone, but like others have said, not a big enough improvement over the Droid to make me want to add another year to my contract. The one thing that probably would have made me pull the trigger on the X with a contract is a higher resolution to match the larger screen, but I think that is not yet supported by Android, so it's not Moto's fault. I think the iPhone 4 resolution is really overkill for that size display, but I also think that 854x480 is only enough for displays up to about 4" and the X really misses the sweet spot.

I generally agree, because the D2 and DX are not that much more advanced than my D1. New chipset plus upgraded OS should be worth waiting for a few months longer.

You seem to be laboring under the assumption that the people in this thread are in the market for a new phone.

I bought a DInc, so this device early next year is a good time for me to upgrade. Plus I'm still sitting on a $100 NE2.

My current NE2 matured last October- my phone is three years old. That NE2 credit is only worth $50.
How is it that, with a newer phone than mine, you have been granted $100 on NE2?
    I am confused.

Maybe except this is the Verizon forum.

Stop looking at the AT&T mountain and look for the Verizon mountain.
