    You WILL be charged for using your phone if you:

    * Make a phone call
    * Answer a phone call
    * Send a message (text or pix)
    * Check voicemail
    * Use the mobile web
    * Call 411 directory assistance

    There are also things you can do that will not cause your account to be charged for the day.

    You WILL NOT be charged for using your phone if you:

    * Dial 911
    * Call Customer Care (*611)
    * Try to make a phone call that isn't answered (if you reach voicemail or an answering machine, the call was "answered")
    * Receive a call, but don't answer it or let it go to voicemail
    * Receive a message (text or pix)
    * Check your voicemail from another phone (not your Boost phone)
    * Check your account balance or account expiration date
    * Change your plan
    * Top-up
    I bet you get charged if you check your email or get an email message correct? that ruins it for me.

    this would be a scam if true. it simply makes no sense to use this plan.

    This is a great plan for those who want an unlimited plan, use it every day but don't have all the fifty bucks at one time. Say, you can only spare $30 every paycheck, this is the plan for you. If you want to use it only on the days you use it, forget it unless you switch to paygo to fill in those days. This gives way more flexiblity then Metro or Cricket which only has unlimited.

    However, I do wish it were only on days used like Verizon and Att's outrageously priced unlimited talk for three and four dollars a day . Love the flexiblity. Hate the prices.

    Boost is doing something new here though. Simple Mobile offers 15 days unlimited for $25. Air Voice Unlimited has 7 days for $15 and some of the Sprint mvnos have plans like this but none offer $2 a day for everything unlimited .

    Wow, a soft rate increase... $60/mo... It's a great thing that Sprint left the rate increase as an option and kept the $50 Monthly Unlimited in place. An Unlimited Nights and Weekends plan for $30 with the current Paygo rates would have been better.
    P R E P A I D is just another way to offer (and pay for) premium services and devices.

    It seems that none of you understand it at all.

    So I'll try to type it slower, maybe then you'll understand it. (heh).

    Say you're on PAYGO and you rarely use your phone during the week but you'd like the advantage of having unlimited everything on the weekends. So, you login to your account and switch it to the $2/day unlimited option and now for the weekend you have unlimited everything. Sunday night rolls around you login and switch it back to PAYGO and go about your normal schedule/usage.

    Next, say you're on the Monthly Unlimited and your payment is due tomorrow and you really don't have enough money to cover it and won't get paid for a few days... Again, login to your account and change it to the $2/day plan and use it for a few days without having to throw $50 into the account until you have it to pay. Then, when you're ready to put the $50 in your account for the Monthly Unlimited service, switch it back to Monthly Unlimited and make payment.

    It's meant to be used as a daily option, not a monthly option. Think logically.

    Gosh, Boost Moible must have left that logic on the planning table.
    Your explanation doesn't seem to come across like that on this page....
    http://plans.boostmobile.com/dailyunlimited.aspx
    A typical cell phone customer (not a Howard forums type) would think that it's only $2.00 per day as presented on the website. So you add $10 to your account and you can use it for 5 days, add $20 and use it for 10 days... and so on. Some might go as far as thinking that it would be billed only on the days you actually use the service. Boost Mobile does not provide the logical guidance you present on here. It's also somewhat complicated, this plan switching that, as you indicate, Boost Mobile expects customers to conduct by themselves. The reason the $50 Monthly Unlimited works is that you pay it and forget it until the next month is due.

    Verizon is out with their new prepaid plans -- and they only charge on the days that the plan is used -- unlike Boost which charges on their daily unlimited even if unused.

    The Verizon comparable plan is $3.99 per day -- however for someone who forgets to swap out their plan (which I bet is a huge number of users) and who doesn't use the phone every day -- it could be a better choice.

    The choice of Verizon prepaid phones under this plan unfortunately are circa 1975 era ugly.

    Virgin Mobile is doing a similar thing as Verizon before Verizon did. All the hot new phones MUST be on a monthly plan. Granted, VM prices are way more reasonable then Vz but VZ has the advantage of their best phones being available for it as well as their much vaunted (if cliched) network coverage advantage.

    Boost is making a good move with this offering. If you are a paycheck to paycheck kind of person or a I need this sometimes or that other times or only have a little money but need unlimited all day, this is for you.

    Imagine, you can start your unlimited plan TODAY with a Boost iden sim kit which comes with $5-10 free airtime. Now you have 2-10 days of free unlimited depending on the one you get.

    Plus you can change to paygo and freeze it up to 90days if you want.

    A great deal.

    Of course, we all want more. Pay only on days used. Well, can't have everything right away, but that is the whole reason of changing plans like DT said. If you change plans to paygo, that becomes like pay only on days used. Just requires a little more vigilance and effort.

    But the absolute flexibility this gives is unprecedented.

    The other mvnos have similar plans (Simple has a $25/15 day unlimited talk/text, Air Voice, $15 unlimited talk/text 7 days) but NONE have unlimited EVERYTHING at this price. And Simple and Air Voice CANNOT be changed to a paygo plan to mark time for up to 90 days like Boost can.

    Leave it to Boost to tweak the prepaid unlimited wars again. Other Sprint mvnos have offered short airtime blocks but none offer $2 a day everything. Nobody. If you have $50 , ignore this plan. If you don't the most it will cost you extra is another $10 and even then, other Carriers like Metro and Cricket add on surcharges which brings their lower looking rates up while Boost is tax free in many places (if not all).

    Not perfect, but pretty good if you understand it and use it right.

    You don't get it. The plan isn't meant to be used monthly. If you're going to use it as a monthly plan, you'll use the $50/mo Unlimited.

    This is just an OPTION for those who are needing to have unlimited services for X amount of days without having to pay a $50/mo Unlimited plan, like I said earlier about PAYGO customers.

    If you select the $2/day plan and want to use it as your monthly service, you truly have no need for a phone.
