Well, it did worked a few days ago but connection failed. Now it can't even connect to the car Bluetooth which it did before. Maybe I need to flash it again?

I assume you've powered on & off. You could try a reset or a re-flash. But those are just guesses that it might fix the issue. I wouldn't know how to determine the cause.

OK, I am trying Master reset now. Well, result is the same, no go. Guess I will have to flash it.

Also, does any of these mod programs work with Windows 8?

You can use a2uploader to add the files after the firmware is restored.

Since I have a new notebook, which program is for flashing the TM717? And where can I find it?

You used to be able to get Sony Ericsson Update Service to flash the phone, but only if it thought that the phone didn't have the latest version of the firmware.

You can't use a2uploader that I know of because I don't think anyone ever extracted the firmware files to flash the device with.

I used to use davinciteam.com to flash, but it looks like they're out of business. I think there's a company that flashes that advertises at topsony.com but I've never used them.

What specifically is your phone not doing when you try to use the bluetooth? Are you seeing any devices available when they are in pair mode?

I reset it again with full reset, then it picked up someone's bluetooth in the bus. But I am going to get a iPhone 4 in a week, hopefully it would connect.

Jet: you are right, they are not compatible. I can connect to the old Garmin nuvi 760 no problem. So it must be the old technology cannot connect to the new one.

OK, got everything to work now. I forgot I needed to turn on the bluetooth on my hearing aids device. Now I can answer the phone with my hearing aids and best part is both ears can listen to the phone. And it also paired with my Dell notebook and transfer wallpapers and ringtones to my phone.
