Angry Just when phone activation finally works...

So, I tried to activate my phone which finally appears to be working. I entered all the necessary information on VM's website, and it tells me I need to switch my plan to the Beyond Talk plan to use on this phone. So without quite thinking, I clicked "change plan" and chose the Beyond Talk plan without topping up first, assuming it would let me take the plan when I topped up two minutes later. Then, I topped up and nothing happened, so I hit "Pay Now", and it appeared to have taken my money and given me the plan, however above that, the site still says I will have a new plan in 12 days. I can't activate my phone (FINALLY ) until this is cleared up...

    Any ideas? Thanks

Call them. Shouldn't take 12 days.

I was wondering if there was any sort of quick fix I could do right now, as I can't call them until maybe tomorrow afternoon. I'll try in the morning to get this straightened out, thanks.

I ran in to something similar getting my phone activated. When I got my phone I used their web site to activate it, but no where in that process did it let me say I was porting my old number from another carrier. So it activated, but with wrong number. While I was waiting on support, I accessed the account I had created and added my credit card and selected the $25 plan.

When I finally got through, the only way he could port my phone number was to delete the account I had just created, with all the info with it, and create a new one from scratch.

Unfortunately, my credit card info was lost in the process. So when the port complete 24 hours later, my phone activated for about an hour and they died again because they couldn't charge the first $25 month with no credit card. So I tried topping up on the web site, and then on the phone. The topups when through finen but it just wouldn't trigger their computers to try the credit card charge for the first month again. So I got up to about $70 before I gave up and called for help. It only took a few minute for him to restart my plan and get my phone running ... again.

    Bruce.
