I live right in the heart of downtown Tampa and I can confirm that there is no 4G here yet. There are some areas near Tampa (not in downtown area at all) where you can catch towers they are testing, but speeds are awfully slow.

In addition to the 32 markets currently available, the companies plan to launch 4G mobile broadband services this summer in the following cities: Orlando and Tampa, FL.

I had Tampa as "Active" due to the fact on other forums some where seeing good speeds, all were on the west side of town. Added Orlando to list as well.
