I went to get a MiFi hotspot today from Wal-Mart, after seeing it advertised for $119.99 on walmart.com. At the store, the price was the full $149.99, but they honored the online price when I mentioned it.
Several of the other VM phones there had the same (higher) pricing.
Just a shout-out in case anyone is planning on getting a new phone...check online prices first.

My local wally stoped carring anything Virgin. I didn'e even see Top Up cards
They got this new 'common cents' plan, $.07 min/with mins round down, I think it's also on the Sprint network.
LG Optimus V
Common Cents Wireless is a new wireless brand introduced this year by Sprint, which also owns Virgin Mobile. It has its own forum here, in case you want to learn more about it.![]()
Update: Wal-Mart will not honor their online prices (it reasons that it cannot compete against itself).
Buy it for $119.99 at Walmart.com or get it for $149.99 at your local store, there's nothing you can do to get it cheaper in-store.
This site has the lowest prices I've seen apart for Ebay( and ebay isnt beating the store either) :http://www.myprepaidblackberry.com/c...irgin-Mobile-/
It's true, WalMart is one of the B&M stores that won't honor its website prices....on anything!
My local Walmart has mostly stopped selling anything Virgin-related apart from top-up cards and Broadband2Go, opting instead for showcasing phones from the TracFone Wireless family (TracFone. Net10, and StraightTalk Wireless). It seems Walmart is liquidating their stock in other carriers' prepaid phones as well (at last check, my local store completely sold or pulled their stocks of Cricket PayGO and T-Mobile PrePaid phones, and they're down to 2 models a piece of AT&T GoPhone and Verizon Prepaid)
Can you plug in the MiFi & use it? Like a cell phone.
Yep no VM Phones near me in WM, just junky ST models
MiFi works like a wireless hotspot, not like a phone. To be more accurate, it IS a wireless hotspot. It pulls in 3G signal from the towers like a cell phone, but then functions as a wi-fi spot that you set up and connect computers and other wireless devices to.
(My parents apparently hated the idea of voodoo like that in their house so it was shooed right out.)
No, I mean the battery of the MiFi. While it's charging can I still use the Mifi?
Yes, you can still use the MiFi while it is plugged into AC and charging. I usually leave mine plugged in and running just like any other WiFi router while I'm at home.
