With the mandatory voice plan the minimum is $75 a month and that is still in the same league of postpaid. To me this just looks like a way for people with bad credit to pay Verizon big bucks without a deposit. They are not really changing the game so P+ has no reason to change.
Verizon prepaid has a few advantages (which you pay for of course). More or less supported byod.. Unlimited data. Allows Verizon prepaid phones. Better CS then PPC. Truly unlimited m2m/nights/weekend minutes. Availability everywhere (eventually).
No taxes compared to postpaid.
It is really just trying to offer a no contract version of its postpaid plans rather then truly competing with value carriers like Sprint's prepaid divisions and all the Att mvnos out there as well as Verizon's own mvnos.
I think their best deal is the $50 unlimited talk/text/mms trial down south. They will keep offering if probably only for the original Verizon prepaid devices if it goes national , my guess.
If they ever allowed that deal to go on their smartphones, they would cannibalize their own business.
That isn't going to happen if Big Red can help it. They've mastered the art of the extra charge.
Page Plus is not going to offer more data, not this year at least. With this prices for the verizon pre paid, IMHO Verizon wont sell Page Plus more data so it can be offered to its customers because is direct competition for them.

And you know this how? ... Page Plus is working on other options but... deals take time.. you have to negotiate etc since pp is buying portions of the vzw network. There are going to be some awesome announcements coming soon tho... some i think people will appreciate ;-) cant get into details as its currently not umm... public lol anyhow ...
when i was just browsing verizon site and tried to make a individiual plan it was around and with unlimited minutes and text messeges + internet it would be 100$ minimum
as of now with page plus 45+30 would be sweet for truly everything unlimited

Hmmm... I wonder if P+ is considering buying the former Alltel towers in any of the non-divested areas such as the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH area?
I think 600 minutes of talk, 600 texts, and 200 mb of data for $30 per month would be great!
There are plans without data in that ballpark if you are only a voice user. I remember seeing a 500 minute plan for $20 at one time on one of the smaller carriers.
I mostly use WiFi for data on my LG Ally. It would be nice to use the Page Plus network for some data. An add on equivalent to AT&T's 200 mb for $15 would be fine.

$50 unlimited talk and text plus $10 for internet = $60.
