Verizon always has been about the big bucks, no bones about it. They are just jumping into the prepaid swimming pool along with everyone else in order to avoid being killed in this arena. I don't know if they even know that the point is that the recession is pushing people to drop expensive contract plans for inexpensive prepaid ones. Will anyone on Verizon postpaid leave for Verizon prepaid when it's $5 a month more, no roaming included and you have to PAY for the phones? Doubtful. I think Verizon actually thinks there is some kind of premium prepaid market out there.

Maybe there is, but considering they lost 150k on Vz pp while the lower priced mvnos gained a million, you'd think they'd let the numbers do the talking.

The ability to put smartphones and unlimited 3g data is great for Verizon but their prices are still epic fail when compared to the competition, including their own postpaid offerings.

The mvnos still leave Verizon prepaid proper in the dust when it comes to value.

I'd love to see if their strategy makes any difference for next quarter.

And you know this how? ... Page Plus is working on other options but... deals take time.. you have to negotiate etc since pp is buying portions of the vzw network. There are going to be some awesome announcements coming soon tho... some i think people will appreciate ;-) cant get into details as its currently not umm... public lol anyhow ...

....please ruens..dont start another rumor about unlimited DATA..and that something is in the works..!!.I CANT TAKE ANYMORE RUMORS...
