I saw this linked on the SprintUsers.com SERO site.

I am a SERO customer considering an upgrade and understand SERO rate plans aren't compatible with all devices. What devices aren't compatible with these plans?
The Samsung Instinct, Samsung Instinct S30, Samsung Instinct HD, Samsung Moment, HTC Hero, Palm Pre, Palm Pixi, HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G are not compatible with current SERO rate plans. If you are considering an upgrade to one of these devices, you will need to also upgrade your rate plan to one of the Everything Plus Data (Individual or Family) rate plans. HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G also require the $10 Premium Data add-on. Effective 10/1/10, new SERO Premium rate plans will be available which will be compatible with the devices listed above. Only customers on a current SERO rate plan as of 10/1/10 will be eligible to swap to a SERO Premium plan.
What are the plan details of the new SERO Premium rate plans?
As of 10/1/10, there will be two SERO Premium plans available, SERO Premium 500 at $40/month and SERO Premium 1250 at $59.99/month. SERO Premium plans will match current SERO rate plans with two added features, Any Mobile Anytime and Unlimited GPS Navigation. SERO Premium rate plans will be compatible with all devices offered by Sprint. Only customers on a current SERO rate plan as of 10/1/10 will be able to swap to a SERO Premium rate plan. 4G handsets such as HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G will also require the $10 Premium Data add-on.
Thank you!
Do you think theyre going to allow discounts on the new sero plans? I'm a member of a credit union which is 10% off, but I've never tried to add it because some people said they wont add discounts to the original sero plan.

Wow DaveMan, you took the words right out of my mouth! I read on one forum ( I 4got which one) that a member received a letter stating that as of 8/1/10, discounts would not apply to SERO lines $29.99 and less..

It might have been right here because there is a huge thread about it in the main forum.

So how is this going to work? This seems like it's going to get messy.
I sent an email to the address in that webpage. They responded saying I'm a business account and to call another number. I spoke with a person in the business acccount section and he had no clue what I was taking about. He just wanted to put me on a new plan and would not LISTEN to me. I then went to the store and they just told me to call *3. I just can't believe I left the store...I wish I could tell customers that walk into my work to go call someone else.
So are we suppose to call just call that number on their website? I don't want to order a phone thru telesales and then a few days later when I get a phone...call and hope that I'll get a person that knows what they're doing. I don't want a phone sitting around my place a few days fighting with customer service. I wish I had a buddy at my local sprint store who knows what they are talking about. I may start probing for a good one this weekend.
I'm looking for a seamless way but it's never easy with sprint. Someone mentioned that they had to drop their company discount to get anywhere...do I need to do that?
No store is going to be able to put you on a Sero Premium plan.
my plan doesn't show up as sero 500 on mysprint.com, it shows up as fair and flexible, but it's definitely sero. will this be an issue?
Call or email to get it resolved before 10/1:
I have a general question related to my SERO/Everything Plus account. Who can help me?

There is a slim chance that any Sprint store can help you with a SERO account. It's not clear in your post what you are trying to do.
If you don't have a SERO account now and want one, it won't happen.
If you currently have a SERO account and want the add ons you have to wait until 10/1.
If you are trying to get a discount to a SERO account, it won't happen.
For more information read the thread in this forum about this topic. It's the one that is 17 pages long as of today.
Very very interesting! Mine doesnt show up as SERO either.. now if F&F 500 is not considered "SERO".. then shouldnt we already be eligible for the Android handsets?
The way I look at it is.. if we are considered SERO, then we fork out $10 extra to get to SERO Premium. If Sprint goes by what is on my account page says "F&F 500", then I simply dont need to be on the premium plan..
Unfortunately I am not eligible for an handset upgrade yet (nor do I have a spare Android handset).. otherwise I would I have tried switching over to Android and checked out for myself.
You'd be wrong...just because your plan isn't officially SERO doesn't mean that your plan is eligible for Android ("iconic") phones. There are many, many plans, not just SERO, that are not eligible for iconic phones. Indeed the only plans (for consumers) that *are* eligible are SEP, ED and EPRP ("new" SERO), and now Sero Premium... the legacy F&F (which may be what your plan is classified as...) as well as F&C and PP plans are NOT eligible for iconic phones (yes it sucks... and I hope Sprint fixes this someday...)
unless you want the evo or epic then it is an extra $10 ($20 total $10 sero prem. and $10 4g charge.)
