    Renegotiated my plan!!!

    Before:
    $50 - Plan
    $30 - 6GB
    $8 - Call Display w/ $8 Feature Credit
    $8 - Enhanced Voicemail w/ $10 MSF Credit

    Total was $78+GRRF+TAX.

    Now:
    $50 - Plan
    $45 - 1GB BES Data
$12 - Value Pack (now I have spinvox and name display)
$10 Data Credit for 3 Years
$10 MSF Credit for 3 Years

    Total: $87+GRRF+TAX.

Basically, I now save another $6 in month ($4 decrease in Wireless Essentials cost and $2 increase in reoccurring credits), but have increased my data costs. But now, my credits won't drop off the account.

And you're so thrilled about it you posted it twice?!

Happy to see, BTW - all good good.

But do be careful there lest one day you find yourself alone, in a cave, with a glowing iPhone 7 in your gnarled claw and looking all Gollum-like, hissing about your preciousssssssssss plan being down to $1/mo...

    It's a slippery slope.

    (And welcome aboard ; )

Hi guys, I was offered a retention plan in August, but due to the shortage in iphone 4 stock in vancouver, i have not been able to activate that plan yet. At that time, Rogers offered me 6 GB of data for $30. I have heard that this is not offered anymore. Has anyone else heard this? I was looking at getting a Blackberry Torch. I have been a Rogers cx for 10 years. What is the best plan you guys think with data? Any comments much appreciated.

If you didn't take the 6gb on your account while it was offered, you're hooped. The expiration date was made pretty clear, and Retention reps have no access to it. Your best bet is to go for some sort of other data option, like the 1gb and ask for a $10 credit because of the 6gb being gone.

Just called for my sister.. what she had before was:

    200 daytime,
    unlim evenings and weekends (9pm)
    500 mb
    call display
    voicemail
    10,000 SMS

for $75 (no idea how she ended up with such a crappy plan)

    I got her
    $17.50 (200 daytime, unlim e/w 6pm)
$10 ret vp (CLID, VM, 2500 sms)
    $25 500 MB
    -$10 plan credit
    -$5 data credit

The guy was far too generous, and easily could have just put a $30 blackberry value pack on there and made it easier on himself. Oh well, sucks for him. Good for my sister.

Removed the $12 value pack, re applied Call Display for $8. Saving another $4 / month by using Google Voicemail. Here's to hoping my $50 plan includes forwarding to the US!

It'd be interesting to see if they would reapply the CID credit, and leave the $10 MSF and $10 DATA Credits on the account. That would give me $28 in credits, and save me yet another $8 / month! LOL.

    Imagine the following:
    $50 Unlimited Plan
    $45 1GB Bes
    $8 Caller ID
    Free Voicemail using Google Voice
    $28 in Credits

    Total: 75+GRRF+TAX.

Ah well, right now I am paying $83 + GRRF + TAX.

    Right now I have:
    $50 plan
    $40 1GB Can/USA BB
    $8 CID
Using GV for VM with Free Call Forwarding
and $18 in credits for 80+GRRF/Tax.
If I don't get a resolution for my lack of USA forwarding in the next week I will try to negotiate another $10 credit for that for a total of 28$ in credits for 70+GRRF+Tax which would be an excellent price point for me. And of course a few bucks of that to go to voip.ms for my VM
$69 on ROGERS: Unlimited Outgoing & Incoming Local and Long Distance Calling Minutes and Text Messaging from anywhere in Canada to anywhere in Canada & USA, 6GB Data, Call Display, Voicemail (GV), Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Conference Calling

I talked to retentions 2 weeks ago as some of my credits are falling off my current plan. ATM, I have the following:

    250+25 anytime minutes
    unlimited E/W @ 8pm
    CID (credit)
    R2R (credit)
    unlimited incoming (credit)
    Blackberry email plan
    SAF/911
    $20 in MPC
    15% bundle discount
    Total: $28.xx

The retentions rep I spoke to was really friendly but unfortunately could not renew all of my credits so she suggested this:

    $17.50 plan (200 mins, free after 6pm)
VP (CID, VM, 2500 text) - credit
    $15 150MB Blackberry data
    R2R (credit)
    GRRF
    Total: $36.xx

Overall, an $8/month difference...I was thinking maybe they could give me the 500MB data plan and perhaps a $10 credit towards it. Do you guys think that's pushing the envelope? I know it's YMMV but is my request unreasonable? Thanks.

Also, is call forwarding included with the $17.50 plan? I currently have a credit towards it and was afraid that I would have to either pay or negotiate for the credit again.
