Nothing special. $20 plan credit on in market plans and some carried over features I already had (6GB, 1000 CDN long distance). Couldn't get any feature credits. Used to have $30 plan credit + $15 feature credits.

It's still a pretty solid deal.

Yes and yes. I've been with Rogers since Cantel Amigo. I'm still with Bell, WIND, Mobilicity, and T-Mobile, all active lines. Active iPhone, Blackberry, Android, N900. Touchpad, Android tablet and iPad. I'm not bias.

anyone know if there still offering the $45 unlimited local calling? I have this plan, but my friend is looking for it to. Would calling be a waste of time, and she can just jump ship to city fido...

They have it but they wouldn't give any plan credits if I went on it.

    Hi folks,

My current contract for 3 lines is coming to an end within a couple of weeks and over the last couple of months I've been starting to lose my credits. I made several calls to try to come up with something similar to what I currently have and I pretty much gave up and started looking at Virgin mobile's $35 unlimited incoming with text & CID & VM + the incremental data (giving this info as baseline comparator only)

So today after calling Rogers to cancel all the features on my lines ahead of making the move I was offered the following:

    300 daytime minutes
    unlimited incoming
    Rogers-to-Rogers
    CID/VM/2500 txt (Canada only)
    6pm Eve/Wknd
    1000 North America LD
    $37.53

    6gig data
    $25

Now this is about $15 more, before tax, per line than what I was paying before and I know that retention isn't very generous lately. Any thoughts whether there is any room to squeezer another $10 per line more? Is there another data option that retention would have access to (two of the lines definitely don't need 6gig) the only thing I was offered was 500Meg for $20.

Finally they are offering Galaxy SII LTE at $49 + $35 activation. If you had a choice would you take the LTE or the i9100? The other option is to wait for Galaxy SIII which can be pre-ordered as of June 20 not sure what the price will be for that phone on a 3 year plan yet.

Sorry for all the questions but any suggestions from you expert out there would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    Current plan 3 lines :
    6GB Super Plan:
    LTE 6GB Data Service Plan
    200 Weekday Minutes/Unlimited Eve & Wknd Minutes (6pm)
    MY10 Canada-wide Talk & Txt
    Call FWD
Messaging Bundle Unlimited (Cnd Txt and MMS)
Android VP w/100 US & Intl Txt $12.79 (-$10 credit 3 years) (CID; VVM Plus; 100 US & Intl Txt; Anyplace TV)
Unlimited Incoming Calls $10 (-$10 credit 3 years)
    100 Bonus Business Minutes (Free)
    1000 NA LD minutes (Free)
    = $62.79 + taxes each

In the signature I have my currently plan (and which I will lose at the end of this month). The plan I listed in the body, that's what I've been offered. The new plan is 1000 NA minutes.

So my contract is complete this month. I was planning on just going month-to-month afterward, but I'm not certain.

I've been talking to Rogers reps and have been getting different answers.

If I signed a new 3 yr contract without a device subsidy, I'll get $15 a month off of my existing plan.

However, one Rogers rep said the ETF would be $12.50 and another said it would be $412.50.

    That's a pretty significant difference.

Right now I'm paying $90 (incl tax) for:
    - 150 Weekday Minutes
    - Unlimited Eve & Wknd Minutes
    - 6pm Early Evening Calling
    - MY10 and unlimited messaging
    - 6GB of data
    - Call Display With Name Display
    - Visual Voicemail Plus

I'd like to get that down, or I may just go to WIND where I can get the better than that for $54 (taxes in).

My question is, how does the ETF work with the new contracts if I'm not subsidising a device? Is it still $400?

How does that work for contracts signed a year or more ago that didn't get a subsidized handset? We called this week and were quoted $20/month upto a max of $400... right now we're on some $13 plan... plus gov fees/tax comes out to $17 so it's cheaper to let the remaining months (or so they told us) even though it's not being used for the last year.... are there any better options here to get out this?
