Hey Treatz, what happened to regular retentions thread sticky?
    Can it be moved here?
Also, I am always for in regards to less clutter on main Rogers forum
At one point it was so cluttered with stickies, I had to scroll to see new threads on 1680x1050 resolution monitor (with 1920x1200, you could see 2 most top threads)

anyways, any plans to move corporate plan retentions sticky here as well? Then this forum would have 2 stickies, retentions and corporate retentions.

And as another suggestion, why not de-sticky HSPA+ Speed testing thoughts and comments?
It's been there for so long, and HSPA+ is sort of "meh"
Plus, that thread only has 46 replies, definitely not sticky worthy imho

how do you usually start off one of the convos?

they screwed around with my account when i HUP'd to the iPhone and i either want my early evening credit back (since i was on the old plan and NEVER renewed my plan) or i would like to negotiate a new plan.

If you recommit on an in-market q3 plan right now you can get 6pm at no cost without going through retentions. However, because you lost the discount you could probably ask Rogers to keep the same original commitment date and add the 6pm evenings for you. Also by doing the HUP you renewed whatever plan you were on. The only way to lose the 6pm credit, would have been to change it. Good luck!

    Hello,

What is the difference between a Monthly Fee Discount and a Montly Plan Credit? I ask because prior to a HUP, I had 2 Montly Plan Credits on my account. When I called in to ask the credit be extended to end of contract, the credits now show as Monthly Fee Discount.

    thanks

Consolidated Retentions is open Sundays until 6pm EST I believe. There is a direct number if you search the forums / google for it or just call in to cancel everything to be transferred.

Will I be able to negotiate a new wireless plan with Consolidated Retentions? I assume that they work with people who bundle their services.

Anyone notice the new retentions plans that Fido is offering, $35 Unlimited Local Calling with NO ZONE and $50 for Unlimited NA Calling, again with NO ZONE? Is Rogers retentions offering the same thing, if so, does anyone have the plan codes like, kinda like how Fido has their codes posted, that would be great thanks??

Does retentions consider the customer, or with his/her lines?

I have three plans/phones - one with Rogers, two with Bell. All are contract-finished. Needing to cut back to only two lines, I called Rogers to cancel my line with them and ended up taking a very sweet retentions deal instead. So I called Bell to cancel one line with them and hope to get a similar sweet deal on the other - and Bell wouldn't offer me anything even close. So I got to wishing I had called Rogers, with whom I had only one line, and negotiated a retentions deal for that line and for a new one at the same time, and then I could walk away from Bell entirely. Would Rogers have done that? If so, is it possible they still might?

    Not up front they don't.

What I have done with success is to port your Bell number to Rogers, pick a new customer plan etc. After a few days have passed phone Rogers Retentions (1-866-304-4248) and ask them to change the plan on your old bell number (now a new number with rogers) to the same plan as your current Rogers number.

I have done this without any problems. Your mileage may vary. I have been a Rogers customer for 10 years.

Taking over a plan... can you negotiate right away?

I know Rogers doesn't really negotiate with new clients (until you've been with them for at least 6 months), but if I take over someone's contract who has been with them for several years, would I be able to start negotiating right away?

Also, if I take over someone's contract who is under contract until 2013, but is eligible right now for HUP (they signed the contract without taking a hardware discount), will I still get that HUP eligibility when I take over his contract?

after you take over the line you would not get any promotion hardware discounts they may have been eligible, but you would be eligible to upgrade the phone at regular hup price as long as they have gone 2 or more years without a HUP.
