    Here's an observation.

I was driving with my daughter last night and decided to do sppedtests while on the road.

Again, same poor numbers as from my office:
    0.41Mb-down 0.55Mb-up
    0.44Mb-down 0.22Mb-up

When we got within a half a mile or so of a Sprint store:

    1.44Mb-down 0.45Mb-up

After passing out of range of the store back to:

    0.39Mb-down 0.31Mb-up

Are they throttling up the speeds near stores to show customers the speed of the network?

Why so slow in other locations?

Being a new customer, if this does not improve soon, I will use the 30day guarantee and cancel.

I really dont think Sprint cares much about data reliability of their 3G network. Speeds here in Colorado Springs range from 2 mbps on the north side of town to .10 mbps on the South side of town. Ironic that all the money's is on the North side of town where service works perfectly and all the getto slums can eat S*&t and die.

Yes, I have complained to them. They say the downtown tower is supposed to be upgraded in Dec with another T-1. Not sure who's bright idea it was to put on T-1 for EV to cover all of downtown with all the state offices and such.

I have another ticket open for a brain dead tower where EV won't even work...it's been like that for a while. Shows EV signal, but finally times out and will work if it flips over to 1X. The 3G they threw in here in July to replace Alltel's leased 3G is a complete mess. Even the guy at the Sprint store says he has been getting nothing but complaints in the past few months, with quite a few returns on EVOs and such during the 14 day test due to data speeds and coverage.

-76 RSSI. Tower is right across the street.

Sprint says 1 additional T1 is being installed the beginning of December to this tower. I pray that it helps.

This test was run with my phone put in 1x mode only.
