I was able to get my hands on one here at Nokia World and snapped some hands-on photos. You can check them out here: http://smartphonenation.com/2010/09/nokia-e7-hands-on/
Old beta video of the e7.
Looks like it will have an 8MP camera and not a huge *** hanging out of the back...
Its a nice looking phone, with some decent features. But my main concern is any phone running a 4" screen and all the connectivity options with a NON removable 1200 mAh battery. It will be the downfall of this device.
I predict the N8/E7 will be a replay of the N95 from a few years ago. Great devices, but hampered by battery life. At least with the N95, you could always carry an extra battery in your pocket.
Using 640x360 resolution on 4" screen is stupid, pixels will look big. It comes to 180PPI, 800×480 is the minimum for 4" screen.
Not that it will be missed by many people, but it looks like they removed the FM Transmitter.
Micro SD slot appears to be absent as well -- all of the hardline N97 owners will have something to complain about![]()
If this phone has decent battery life and is released sometime this year I'll definitely give nokia another shot. I haven't been excited about a nokia phone in a while![]()
