Non-removable (which sucks!) but at least it doesn't have an outside antenna...

He said "outside antenna" referring to the external antenna design causing excess attenuation issues.

Holy batman I'm blind. Or tired.

Yea, agreed. Good thing the issue wasnt as prevalent with Canadian Carriers, and ofcourse, the case does resolve the antenna issues.

    Next up - proximity sensor!

No Antennagate, no proximity sensor issues for me since 1 month ago; 4.0.1/2, now 4.1 And the speeds I'm getting on Rogers shown on HSPA via SpeedTest App to Markham ON server … is enough to make IP4 users in the USA cry.

Still this E7 is a sweet looking device. If Ansii could sign a sweet silver one; I'd buy it and keep it forever.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of speeds are you getting over there?

did the s60 5th ed./symbian^1 devices have demand paging...??
    or was it implemented poorly..??

Here is question to those who got a chance to play with E7:

Where is the LED indicator for new e-mail etc?

Blackberry devices have a great red/blue/green LED (one of best). Nokia E61/i had a white blinking LED. E71/2 has a white LED around the D-pad. I would prefer a Blackberry type customizable multi-color red/blue/green/yellow/white LED. But, where it is?

    Thanks,
    Tintin

The menu button also glows for notifications. I doubt it is multicolored.

The menu key has a "slit" in it, that houses a WHITE LED. It's actually cool looking - but it's not as functional as I wish it was. The white isn't as attention grabbing as a red/blue/green one, as with the N900 or other devices.

It's bright, but not noticeable unless you are looking directly at it. I pray to everything that is holy that the N9 has a multicolor programmable LED.

I never realized how useful colored notification light could be. Especially when you can mix all 3 colors for any color combo you want!

This is VERY disappointing. E7 is a business device. Why Nokia left out the multicolor LED. Blackberry made it, and Blackberry is the most commonly used business device. Nokia is VERY VERY inefficient. They really don't do any research before making a product. Very inefficient indeed.

It may be useful, but it really looks cheezy and cheap. It the one thing that I dislike the most on Blackberrys. That and the way I got screwed over when I worked at RIM. :P
