Ok Rogers customers I just Called Tbay Tel the 807-623-4400. They said that We have 30 days of which to cancel penalty free should we wish too under the consumer act. Call for your self if you want. At least we have some choice.

I think TBaytel should now have its own subforum as MTS/Sasktel does.

+1 since TBaytel will be the only HSPA+ carrier in all of Northwestern Ontario to the MB border.

In the meantime, have there been any updates? other than that recent press release regarding Rogers and the assumed roaming exclusivity.

Can we keep a collection of information about TbayTel in here?

Received my letter today too. Where yours says "Canadian 1000 LD Minutes" for $10 with a $5 discount, mine says "Canadian LD Toll Saver 156" for $5 outright, no discount. Even though we clearly both had the same thing with Rogers— 1000 LD minutes for $5/month. I'm concerned about what "Toll Saver 156" means. Doesn't sound like minutes to me.

Additionally, my 6GB data was reduced to 5GB.

That's better that I hoped for on initial deployment.
I actually expected only the immediate Thunder Bay area this year.
Of course, it would be a hard sell to have anyone convert if coverage was only Thunder Bay. Looks like they hit the larger of the small towns - those that have an 'easier' chance of getting decent backhaul + more customers.

I called about the "Toll Saver" and it looks like it will get rectified. More info— any changes made with Rogers WILL carry over since they're pulling in all the plan information one more time at 11:59pm on Oct 31 to update.
