Thumbs up Watch streaming video using Bolt Mobile Browser on Prepaid

I finally figure out how to do this!
You can watch streaming video (like you tube) from within a modded Bolt browser. As a side benefit you get a fast mobile browser that can render webpages just like a PC.

Get the modded web brower here:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=04XGKZH0

    Install the java app.

There first time you open the app, you need to pick a 'settings' profile other than 'default' (ex. CustomeName).
Edit the 'Backquery' field and enter the string:
    tmobile
Leave everything else unchanged. Save this config and select 'ok' from 'options'.

Now you are setup for free internet browsing on your phone.

Navigate to a website with streaming video (like you tube). Try to play a video. The first time you play a video, a video setup wizard will be activated and it will try 2 different ways of playing the video within the browser.

My Nokia Nuron worked on the first try.

    Enjoy!

Have you tried changing the magnification (under 'preference')? I'm using 3XLarge magnification on my phone and it is very readable.
    My phone has 640x360 resolution.

There's also a 'install font' option in the software, but I have no ideal where one can go to download the fonts though.

Yes, please added to the download section.
Please remind people in the download section that the 'magic word' needs to be added to the 'Backquery' field.

I tried it on wing, the config is not getting saved. Everytime i have to select the config & type the word and save the config. But still not working, does it need to point epc or wap.voicestream. I tried both still no luck. Am I missing something?.

    Great find OP. Thanks.

Make sure that you select a diffent config profile. By default it's on 'default' and it will not save your settings on 'default'.
Don't change the 'config name', you have to change this in the 'settings'(name).
Also, you need to click on 'option' 'save config' to save the setting. Did you do that?

I'm using wap.voicestream, people have reported issues with epc with prepaid.

Partially confirmed on TM506. A couple of notes
    1) Installed 'Bolt' and 'Bolt211Handler' app. Started Handler app.
    2) Made sure to select 'Default' internet settings and 'Trusted' app permissions.
    3) Video Wizard option 1 or 2 didn't work, so it set some default, which doesn't work either. When I play a video it just says 'browser might exit' and then does nothing. However, I can still browse the Internet using bolt, just can't play videos. May be a limitation of this phone.

Thanks for sharing BD and putting it with the other apps CS.

Video playback feature is more demanding on the hardware. My MDA (win mobile 6.1) couldn't play video within bolt, so bolt tried to download the video and playback using the phone's video player.
The problem is that it tried to download using the phone's default browser which doesn't have any hacks and couldn't connect to internet.
But if there is someway to configure your phone to set either bolt or modded opera mini, you should still be able to watch video after it downloads the video.

My Nokia nuron can play video just fine with Bolt, so this is going to be phone dependent.
