    Froyo on Motorola Milestone

I've had this for a few weeks (video is 3 weeks old).

It's pretty stable. Everyone should root and get this!

    Find it at XDA.

You mentioned that you had to do something special to get it to work on the Telus network. Would you mind going into a bit more detail about that?

Can you generally outline the process you used to update your device? Just a Nandroid restore?

    Thanks!

    It's a nandroid restore.

3G files in the original ROM is for Europe frequencies, so obviously they don't work here. You can use Root Explorer or update.zip to swap the 3G radio files to your current one (which you should back up in your original Telus ROM before doing this flashing) and it should work fine.

Froyo is amazingly fast, and having Chrome-to-Phone and Adobe Flash is really really awesome.

    Also, benchmark below

Milestone is faster than Galaxy S and Droid X

    Those are impressive stats indeed.

Is your Milestone overclocked at all?

Would you mind sharing the links that you used? Especially the ones that has the details about changing the frequencies?

    Thanks!

This is extremely exciting. Hope the official rom from Moto can achieve these numbers if we ever see it (though I doubt they will optimize it)

With a benchmark of 1311, I highly doubt it's 600MHz, I think that's overclocked, I know people that OC their Milestones to 1.1GHz.
