HD2 with T-Mobileweb data plan, does it work?

I have been holding on to the $5.99 t-mobile web plan and its time to get a new phone.. before i make the leap and get a phone from tmobile, i wanted to know if anyone has the HD2 working with that plan?

That will determine if i get another unlocked phone or finally do an upgrade thru tmobile. Im currently using the ATT Tilt, the older model, not the new one.

    thanks.

I think he means yes the HD2 will work whether you are running winmo or Android on it. Since you can run android off the SD cart on the HD2. Most Android phone will get a message that you need to upgrade your data plan except Nexus One and the Samsung Behold II I believe.

Correction, all T-Mobile branded Android phones except the Samsung BH 2 are IMEI blocked/blacklisted. Most unbranded Android phones (Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy i7500, SE X10i, and etc) will work with cheaper data plans. The Google Ion (re-branded myTouch 3G) will not work with cheaper data plan.

Well phone has finally crapped out.. only works if i keep it plugged into a power source.. i may have another battery to test it with, but doubt it..and i dont want to spend the money on a battery just to find out its the phone. So im actively looking for a replacement now.. and from what i gather here in this post, these are my options.. if i misunderstood please let me know.

HD2 will work with my $5.99 data plan regardless of its WM or Android?
Nexus One and the Samsung Behold II will work also without prompting for updated data plan?

    NS doesn't work either.
Good job Samsung, BestBuy, and T-Mobile because they ruined the phone!

hm, just so you know, hd2 can run NAND android 2.2 and 2.3 flawless. I already dump WM 6.5 for 2 months now and not missing it.

unlike at&t, t-mobile won't change your plan unless you ask them to
