The g2 did better in benchmark tests. The g2 looks like a slightly better phone and might have the fastest processor of any phone in the U.S. I just wish it had a front facing camera, otherwise this looks like it will be one of the very top phones released so far, especially with no bloatware UI. The droid 2 has more onboard memory though, if you care about that (I don't )

Of some importance is that the D2 is only Evdo. 1.5Mb/s? If you are in an HSPA+ market, the G2 leaves the D2 in the dust.
And the D2 won't be able to access the speed of VZ's LTE network. (Yes all you Droid, Droid2, DroidX and Incredible owners will have to buy another handset if you want LTE speed)
