Moto droid Internet will not work Have already tried the full solution guide .

I have a moto Droid on Ntelos wireless. I managed to get them to put the phone on the network . The phone and text messages work . The internet and mms does not. I have tried to open apns by using voice dialer. However it will not open . It opened before i activated the phone but now that it has service it does not . What can i do from here to get my internet and mms to work ? I have already gone to white rabbits site created the nv items and applied them with cdma work shop. I also checked the mip settings in qpst. I still get no internet or mms .

I am not familiar with Ntelos wireless, but for Metro PCS we also have to have a file placed in system/bin called u2nl, and then a script called autostart.sh to run it. Have you done all such similar steps?

i have flashed this phone a few times trying both version 2.1 and 22 of android . I have tried with autostart and u2nl but get nothing . I have two other phones from my service that are deactivated . I have been pulling settings of those. From The test i have done i figured out most most of the nv items are and should be set to. On my service there is no one shared entry such as #@metropcs.com . I have 3 . The ppp user id , the hdr user id , and the tethered nai are all different . My company also will not give out it's settings . I have had to dig up threads on 3 forums on many phones to find some . The rest i pulled from the two phones i have . From my understanding u2nl is required to pipe data from my service to my browser and programs . What i have been doing over the past few days is checking the system status to see if it connects to a network. would u2nl be required for that too? as far as the user pass combo for the apn should i use the ppp user name and pass or hdr user and pass ?

Sorry to hijack thread, I was curious how you get the store to flash it to their network? I took mine in to get it flashed, but the rep said they use Houdini, and it didn't recognize Motorola Droids. You know a trick or two that would help me? Thanks

    Hi-jacking, bad. Link, good: http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...-on-Moto-Droid

:-) Hope that helps. Cliff notes: just flash the PRL file on there yourself, but you will have to get someone to add your phone's ESN to Metro's list.

Have you tried restoring the leaked file from the Motorola MileStone ? I suggest using that as it is unlocked, and you don't have to worry about the NV Items at all. That will at least rule out that one area, and you can focus on the rest

Thanks for trying, but all 35 pages of that thread deal with metroPCS, not once was ntelos mentioned. And "just flash the PRL file on there yourself", how does one do that?

You use CDMA workshop to write the PRL file. Each carrier will have a PRL file for their network. You can find them all on this forum. You can find more details about writing the PRL here: http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...lution-Updated That thread is for Cricket, but you just use the ntelos PRL instead of Cricket etc.
