Okay I am mainly wanting to root because of the voip fix and to get voip apps like sipdroid working. Does this zip on the first page include the kernal file that has the voip fix?

Okay so I read through the first page again and it has the squealjoy 2.2. Is it a kernal that fixes the voip? How do I apply that if it is. Also im still not able to connect my usb ive tried every driver and none of them worked.

As far as voip working, I dunno. Seems you're gonna have to just try it and find out. But like I said in one of your other 50 threads, you can't do anything until you get a usb connection first. Once you get that figured out then install the recovery and apply the kernal as instructed in the first post. Good luck!

No matter what I do it wont recognize my usb drivers. I even tried windows xp mode in windows 7. I heard z4 root 1.3 works for rooting but i mainly want the voip fix. Anyone know how I could fix the voip without doing anything with my usb?

Okay question for the experts here. I can get to a computer with vista on it which means I can install the usb drivers. All I need is the squealjoy 2.2 in my sdx/zip folder right and it will automatically root and fix the voip coming through the rear speaker using SWUpgrade?

I just sent it to primetechv2 to have him root it. It was to big of a headache for me.

Hi all!

Well, I've rooted my intercept, but now I'm selling and I would like to restore to FULL unrooted, original factory settings.

Is this something I can do easily?

Can anybody give me the basics on how to do this? I tried using the reset method via the android interface (settings -> privacy -> factory reset), but when my phone started back up the phone wouldn't actually start up. It got past the "Virgin Mobile" "splash screen", then just showed a black screen.

I can get to the "lower level" reset menu (which shows "Android System Recover SDX Samsun Moment SP", and I selected "Advanced Options" -> "Wipe/Factory Reset" - but I'm having the same issue.

Can anybody help an idiot out, so I can restore this to the original factory settings and sell this phone? <3

I have a ton of questions that have to be answered but I will stick to the 3 most important ones. I brought the Samsung Intercept (Sprint) online with the hopes of flashing it to Cricket but so I was able to root the phone on 2.1 (Talk/SMS) and now I am lost. My first question is:

1. Can this phone work on the $45 plan with MMs and Web?
2. What is the best PRL to load on it?
3. Is there a forum where can I go to setup the rest (MMS/Web)?

Thanks! Been at it for 2 1/2 week and my head is numb from frustration.

So will we need to roll back to stock before this first week of April? Seems that's when the Intercept's 2.2 upgrade is supposed to come through.

What's the rooting procedure after the VM Froyo upgrade? I used Barnacle a lot on my recent trip to FL and it worked great... hate to lose that capability.
