Metro dropped the Zio because they want Froyo on their handsets, and believe the Zio price at 250 was too much for an underpowered handset. Their focus is now on the LG Optimus M for $229 in mid Nov. and their Huawei in Dec. for $179.
This all came as a result of a conference call discussing their upcoming lineup last month, and were getting feedback from management and staff in all the markets.
There should be about 10 new handsets before the end of the year.

So is this real or a rumor? An anonymous source is how reliable? Wow they go to training for nothing so the phone is dropped. This sucks.
your friggin kidding right? its from evil, his word is usually if not always golden, if he says the sky is falling and midgets are kicking people in the knees dressed as leprechauns i would believe him
It figures... they kept delaying it and then they told me the training was held back again another month... so either it was a huge delay or we would just not get it.
It just didnt make any sense to release such a dated software and sell it for that much still.... kudos for waiting and hopefully release the right phone for the right price...
Yep this is 99% fact now.... 1% kyocera offers metro a hell of a deal on there useless handsets and metro decides to carry them. MetroPCS is a business so money talks and bullshiz walks
