Ever since I powered up my G2 the first time I have a voicemail notification icon in the status bar. I can't remove it. I have no voicemail.
I've tried resetting the phone but that didn't help.
ANyone else with this problem?
How can I fix?
Thanks!

first start by deactivating the google voice on your phone. using the dialer, place a call to
##004#
next, using the dialer, (assuming you use t-mobile) place a call to
123
or whatever standard voicemail number you'd call -- possibly your own mobile number, or 1. this will call your standard voicemail mailbox (instead of google voice), and let you check and delete any messages - thus successfully clearing the icon. be patient; give it a minute to update the voicemail icon notifier, or reboot your phone if you're still not sure it'll go away.
Then re-activate google voice on your phone. using the dialer, place a call to
*004*1aaabbbcccc#
--- where aaabbbcccc is your area code+ phone number. enjoy.
