At least with Rogers they can apply several credits and get you something close to what you originally had.

I don't think I'm gonna chance it. My experience over this past week has been great and the price is awesome so I'm gonna go into the store to port it.
I decided to call and hear this myself. The CS Rep said only the corporate stores know anything about these plans. All the call centre can do is provide technical support. Any questions regarding details about the plan would have to be directed to employees at the corporate stores. So my take is that it is true, you will lose your F&F plan if you port after Oct. 15th. The only way around it is if they decide to extend this deal.

    Time to port!

I called Keele/Lawrence store a few hours ago and they confirmed this info. One can port over after Oct.15th without loosing the plan.
Besides, Melissa emailed me this morning confirming the same info.
I hope she will post a message on the forum so that everybody know what to expect.

Same here, can someone confirm the credit receipt?
After waiting a week and not seeing a credit, I called in and the credit was there within 24 hours.

Just call it in would be my suggestion.

Thank you so much Mobilicity for this break out plan!!! I think the Big 3 are starting to bend their knees!
Just called in to Bell to cancel my nationwide Fab10 unlimited data student smartphone plan awhile ago and I was surprise I was not even got transfered to a retention agent. The initial agent asked me why Im canceling, I told him about the awesome $35 all unlimited Mobilicity plan and all of a sudden he started offering me discounts and free features like $15 monthly credit plus free voicemail, free call display, call forwarding, call waiting, free unlimited text messaging, free video calling, free extra 100 daytime minutes and free unlimited incoming calls. WOW! and thats Bell which is really bad and tight in giving retention offers. Now because of this cheap plan offer from them, I can afford of having a Mobilicity $35 All Unlimited plan and an awesome retention nationwide Fab10 unlimited data student smartphone plan from Bell! WOW! thats all I can say, again thanks Mobilicity for this!

When I called, the guy said right away that he'd create a ticket so that the people in the Finance section would apply the credit.

I called in the morning and was told he would expect it to happen later the same day. When I checked online the next day, the credit was there.

Hope it works out for you.

Guys, if I want to port my number, I should NOT drop my current plan before picking up Mobilicity?

Nope. Once you cancel your plan with your current carrier you loose your phone number.
If you wish to retain your phone number, port it to your new carrier then cancel your account with your former carrier once the porting is successfully completed.

That last part is unneccessary. If the porting ng was completed successfully, there is no need to cancel your account with the former carrier. This is supposed to be done autmoatically for you.

Well after 3 calls, i got a rep that said to do the same thing- create a ticket.

It has been more than a day now, my credit is still not in.

I dont think i will trust this company anymore.
