Is there anywhere to read speculation on when the price might drop on the D2G? I'm up for my (final, apparently) NE2 today, and I don't want a 1st-gen LTE phone because the battery life will probably be even worse than the D2G. Thinking about waiting till the end of the month of it's likely the price will drop when LTE phones start coming out, but otherwise I'd just as soon buy today and get it over with.

can you save files like pictures n stuff, not apps, to the internal memory of the D2G? seems to me like you cant but that doesnt seem right to me?

You can read it right here, lol. It probably won't be real soon. You can check the Verizon website to keep track, but I'm seeing price drops on Incredible for about 4-5 weeks now, Droid X JUST dropped.

Well so far I've figured out the lock screen and mac sync question. But im still stuck with all the others =( anyone else know the solution to any of these???

im a converted crackberry addict to droid since my tour was on its last leg i git the D2G. Few questions i just cant seem to find answers to:

1. lock screen. since the phone has a lock button, why do i have to swipe the screen after i press the lock button to unlock my phone? is there a way to change it so i only need to press the lock/unlock button?

2. notifications. on blackberries i could set detailed custom notifications for each contact, such as if i receive a text message from xxx, it could be silenced but continue to get txts with sound from everyone else. plus i could set a different text and call notifications for each individual contact. is this possible?

3. contact sync. it seems to me that my blackberry synced way more contacts to my facebook friends and updated their display pictures than my droid is. In fact i know for sure my bb was able to link more profiles to my contacts. why is that? and how can i fix this?

4. mac support. is there any? Is there some software that i can get to sync my itunes playlists to my droid?

5. contacts. how do i stop it from defaulting to displaying all contacts? I just need my phone contacts on my contact list. thats all.

6. besides the obvious amazon and blockbuster bloatware, what else can i remove?

7. task manager. i always heard they were good. but now theyre bad? whats up with that?

8. battery life. OMG this things drains the juice off the battery like no other. i havent been able to go 6 hours without a recharge. I finally switched it from global mode to cdma only yesterday and that helped just a little so far. When i go into power management, it tells me y screen is whats using ~35% of the battery constantly. WTF is up with that? even after i switched from one of those animated wallpapers my screen is still using 35%... i also have the bightness set to auto.

any help you guys can give, i greatly appreciate in advance, thanks! =)

Hate to be a pest but is there a solution to use this phone on AT&T's network in the USA? My girlfriend wants to buy one new, full price, if she can use it on her AT&T account.

Theorically, yes you could but its a pain in the behind since the sim card slot is block to only verizon's one and even if you get the unlock code, you could only use sim cards for carriers from other countries, not for the USA.

So, theorically yes you can, how to: Idk. U could try trubosim or whatever its called and c if that works.

The bands are locked in the US, so turbosim or unlocking doesn't work, whichever SIM you use. However, there is a paid solution (hack), where the block is removed for about $100 and then you can use the phone, in the US, on AT&T with 3G. It doesn't give 3G on T-mobile as the phone doesn't have the radio for the T-mobile 3G band. For details, see:
