Exclamation trying to put music onto my Kyocera G2GO cell

Hey, cell noob here, havent had one in like 10 years, long story...anyways; got me a KYOCERA G2GO from Public Mobile the other week, grabbed a USB cable from a mate & headphones. Went and bought a 2GB mem. stick the other day, plugged USB port into phone, and computer, but when i'm prompted with alert of Found New Hardware from comp' and i follow the directions i always get "Cannot install this hardware". Aswell as: "The hardware was not installed because Wizard could not find necessary software." The dude at the store(Publicmobile) told me that this was all that i needed to get tunes onto my phone, no disc or nothing was/is needed. Anyone have an idea whats going on here? Could it be the USB cable, or my computer that has a problem, or the phone...cheers in advance.

Go to Kyocera website, and email them. I am stuck in the same exact situation now-exactly. Emailed them after finding they do have a computer program thats been updated that you can download, but apparently you need thier beginner program that cant be found online to get it started.

Heres what I did, and found out. Plug in usb cable, and then go to usb mode on the phone. While on the phone, with usb all plugged in, pull up the phones usb screen (settings>usb>mass storage) and the push the button access for the mass torage and it will/should pop up a scrren on your computer for you allowing access to files. I still cant get mine to play tunes even after formatting card, and redoing the music files. so I dont know whats up.
    Stop reading this!

Hey, as far as I can tell, you need to format the SD card in the phone first. It will set the card up with a file structure that the phone will recognize. Then you can put the card in the computer and add music to it in the appropriate folder ("Music" I believe). After that, put the card back into the phone and it *should* see the files.
I've tried the Mobile Phone tools, it doesn't recognize G2GO phones. Not sure if that's true of ones sold in the US though.

i did all that, i got it to work after messing around with difrent mp3 formats, but no mater what i do, music only plays out of one side of the head phones now, aperently you need spechial headphones that are over 100$ and even then were not sure it will work. over all, this phone is a piece of ****
