Now that the Nokia N8 has been officially released and in our hands I felt a new official thread was needed.

Has anyone had any issues signing into the "Social" app? i've been trying for the last 3 hours and keep getting a gateway error.

I downloaded the "social" app beta and put on a 5800 yesterday and I got gateway errors all the time so I uninstalled it.

Has anyone found the build in IM? According to messaging.nokia.com the n8 has built in IM but i can't seem to find it or download the app

I had issue with Social app when I tried to connect thru 3g but then I switched to Wi-Fi for initial start-up and it works now.

So far my N8 hasn't froze on me yet. Also the FM transmitter in this thing is a lot better than the one in the N97. Previously i had one sweet spot in my car where I could get decent audio with minimal static, and now it really doesn't matter where in my car i hold my phone it still has great audio and no static.

Note: I only tested it holding it in different locations in my front seat.

On S^1 devices you will always get gateway error, when Nokia in their infinite wisdom decided to discontinue the Social Beta their switch off the gateway (remember that you connect to Facebook/Twitter via Nokia Gateways, not direct connection). But hey, if you get the gateway error in the N8 it is a real funny blooper.

You mean the N8 email client? Because in my mini using Nokia Messaging takes ages to send, but send files larger than 2MB.

I tried it on my old 5800 and it worked pretty good, make sure set the connection to internet and not default or it will not connect

how big are the pictures typically? probably 3-4 mb? so you can't email the photos ever then.
