I use the Cairon Micro Sim Adapter. It cost me about $7 and works great! The sim does not need a sticker (it clips in) and I use it daily to swap between my N9 and my N8. I've been doing this for 4 months now with no issue. I specifically went for the Cairon adapter as I read on other forums (Maemo/Meego forums) that this adapter works better than most of the cheap ones you find. I can at least attest that I haven't had a single issue in the time I have used it.
A little advice: If you are cutting a SIM down to size make sure you smooth out the edges left behind from the cutter. I cut my SIM and it looked smooth until I ran a finger along the cut edges. I took some very fine grit sandpaper and made sure nothing was protruding as a result of the cut (also make sure you do not sand the contacts). It took about a minute to do.

thanks, i was hoping someone that may have used that adapter to chime in. from my research, it seems that is the best adapter available. just didn't know how it would work with the N8 slot loading sim card style.

there's no way that i know of. they took that feature out of Belle for some reason.
Works like a charm but from what I have read you really want to smooth out the edges of a cut sim (regardless of which cutter you use).
thanks for the reply, i'll make a note of it for next time i guess. i decided to cut with scissors using a template from online. my sim is a older one so my gold contact sits all the way at the bottom of the sim. i was afraid that if i used the cutter it would cut that part since other sims have the gold part closer to the middle of the sim.

that should be it, and maybe minor fw updates. i don't think carla is coming to the N8, it's supposed to be for 1ghz cpus only. but who knows they might bring some of the stuff over.
I'm good with the N8 (even if it doesn't receive another update). The only other phone that I kept around this long and used regularly is my N95 (which I still have as a backup).
Has anyone using the N8 with the AT&T $50 everything unlimited plan still have their data working after updating to belle? The data on my N8 on this plan stopped working on Feb 7th, the day belle was launched (even though I had a leaked version of belle already running and didn't update to the official version)
Belle is the last big update, we should get more widgets, some Microsoft Office stuff, and probably small bug fixes, but that is it. I can't think of any other phone that has gone trough such a "makeover" during it's lifetime

Check your access points, and see if the at&t internet looks like this
My N8 still works with 3.5g on my 10$ unlimited plan on T-Mobile, and the picture message size has been fixed, you can receive full pictures on T-Mobile now with the tmobile access point.

What's odd is that mine stopped working about five days ago. Threw my SIM into another device and the 3G works perfectly. Very strange.
