Yeah, that's definitely direct manipulation on the homescreens rather than the current gesture based switching that people are calling "lag"

I don't know if it's because of the fonts, but both the old and new browsers have always looked unappealing to me, interface and page wise. I wonder if seeing the background when the keyboard popped up was only for the browser or if they managed to implement it system wide (would be nice) but why in the world do you need to use the scrollbar to go through the possible addresses!

Almost seems like it's just a reskin of the current browser.

hey jonnyjl , i just wanted to ask if you would recommend the mod, also is there a way to go back from the mod?
To uninstall it you just uninstall the application.

I have to look at the photos more clearly through my PC before I could recommend it. I doubt there's any ill-effects to the photos as its my understanding that all they did was just lower the amount of compression used. I did this one that I saw here: http://forum.dailymobile.se/index.php?topic=32030.0

It does also mod the video fps... can't really say if that's a good or bad thing, haven't really tried out video recording yet.

How is the N8 for streaming video via the hdmi? Are you able to stream video from the browser to an HDTV in 720? or does it only work with videos already on the device. I watch some TV shows on my PC, it would be nice to hook up the N8 to my 50" HDTV and watch them via the N8.

the output will be 720p but if the source is a fuzzy 320x240 it won't look too good scaled up

If anybody is interested, I recorded some songs from the recent LCD Soundsystem concert in St Paul, MN. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ady3_cWuC1c

Performance is great, but bass distortion is upsetting. Does anybody know of any ways to curb this? Would a piece of tape over the mic's help?

Just found out that when you are in camera mode, if you "pinch to zoom" on the screen, the camera goes from 9mp mode to 12mp

I used to use the AD-54 as a mic to get around this. I haven't done this yet with the N8.

I'm thinking about getting an N8 soon. Does anyone know if nokiausa will be running any black friday deals on the N8 or maybe even a Christmas sale?

Separate question. For those with an N8 already, does Symbian^3 have native full screen caller id's?

    TIA
