Looking for the one for me

    Hi all,
I'm new at the forum (well, I've been registered for a time but this is my first post) and I'm a little lost in the keitai world (I read some of the Sticky Threads).
I know I cannot "have internet" on the device so my factors of buying a Keitai are mainly form factor (I love the KDDI's infobar but I'm not sure if it's hypersim unlockable, although the camera isn't fantastic, I'm in love with it) and the camera quality. I cannot find a phone that I'm looking for and I thought that if I post maybe someone could help me. First I thought of buying the 740SC but I'm not sure if it's the right choice...
Also I don't want to get defrauded thru eBay and I don't know any other place to buy j-phones. The sites I've visited are or in chinese or in japanese and I cannot read any of them so if you can help me in this aspect also, I'll be much appreciated.

OH, I almost forgot, my money top to spend is 350$ (If there is something a little expensive I will try to save some more money).

Thanks a lot from Barcelona, Spain.

I personally think eBay is not a bad choice for buying a keitai, so as long as you ignore the overpriced ones. By that I mean those listings that sell an SH-04B for $1400 or N-06A for $400~500. Those ones are the overpriced, high-margin listings.

Try to look for a personal sale if you can. Just a month ago I picked up a 99% new N-01B for $180USD from eBay. The deal are there, you just have to be very diligent.

What a pity! I love sooo much the Infobar T_T
This weekend I've been searching and I'm still fixed on this http://tinyurl.com/2elxbyo. This is mostly what i'm looking for except for the damn high price, but: it has a very good camera, it has a great shape/color, the vendor ensures you that the HyperSIM works...Do you know of any cheap alternative? Some people I know is telling me that I have to leave keitais alone and get and iPhone 4 or an HTC Desire HD, but I can't!

That's alllllll the goods there and alllllll Docomo official and considering the model is only a few months old, the price isn't too bad. The SH-06a is an older option, but the red isn't identical to the red used in the Sh-07b. It really depends on what is important to you. IE: Camera, color, form-factor, waterproof, manufacture, etc.

OH! And what about the 9020C Any experiences? Is the camera good? It's factory unlocked son I can browse Internet and this stuff?
If it's not what I expect to be with your opinions, I think I'Il be getting the SH07B.
(I wonder why we don't have such cool phones in Europe All here is around iPhones and Android things T_T)

@IonNuke I've got a few questions 'bout the 9020c/WX-T923: Is the camera decent? (can you upload a sample please) I've heard that I can watch TV on these phones as they are unlocked, is this true? It does it thru Internet or it uses some other thing for the TV function?

I don't know how to explain this, but when I see Chinese/Taiwanese phones I see them as wannabes compared with the Japanese ones, may I trust on buying one? (Building quality...)

EDIT: Deleted one question due to the above post. It was about the capability of browsing internet and using 3G.

I can answer a few of those for you:

You can use Internet and the whole bit, but if you want 3G, you have to get the WX-T923, which is more expensive. Sharp released 3 direct ports of their phones for the Chinese market, just with a different UI to accommodate the Chinese language. If you'd like to see samples of the phone's camera quality, there is a thread called "Sharp Cam-phone Pic of the Day" or something like that on the Sharp subforum, so just do a search there and you'll find some samples. Regarding TV, non of the exported phones have 1seq TV, but I believe some models had a special carrier internet, that only worked on certain carriers.

    Thanks, I found some samples!
I've looked around and I found that the 9020c is 500$, but I can't find on eBay (I mostly look this dealer http://tinyurl.com/2ubmlx3 ) the WX-T923.
Which price are intended to have?

T930 has TV option but only works on FarEasTone's 3.5G HSDPA network for live streaming TV.

It does record video @ 30fps. I think I chocked a few samples and stuff like that regarding the T923 on youtube some where

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mig0Aki_kps

I think those are the only videos that I own of the T923.

Internet will always work as long as the APN, Proxy settings are all configured properly. One mistake will result a bad gateway or some error that won't allow you to get on the web.

Thanks for the vids IonNuke! It's a goooorgeous phone!

Today Vodafone (Spain) called me and offered me some HTC Android based phones (one as "World best mobile phone" -Desire-, and I just thought 'bout Keitais and I tried not to laugh) and the Apple-Brick-4 for ridiculous prices...Also make me Mobile Internet offers. And all this is for making me stay with them! (I was just going to "migrate" to an Internet Based Mobile Operator, cheaper and better). Now I'm just analyzing all the data received those past days, and I'll try to decide the best.

Also it another thing that told me a mate, "A Keitai outside Asia is only a crap-phone" What do you think?

    I'm TOTALLY confused T.T

Essentially keitai can be considered as crap outside of Japan. A lot of functions will not work because the phone's original intention was never designed for any systems outside of Japan. It was suppose to be for Japan use only kinda thing. However with some development in the field the hypersim invention was made to be able to use basic functions and some multimedia functions of these handsets outside of Japan.

People want applications and stuff like that, but I don't even use data or have that applied to my plan so for me it really doesn't matter.
