Is Shaw going live all at once, or are they rolling out in select cities and slowing expanding like Wind?
Wow, they sure spent quite a bit just on the Brandon, Manitoba licence! $1.6 Million! It would be interesting to see Shaw beat Rogers/MTS at the HSPA game, but very very doubtful (as it's not going to start rolling out in larger communities until what? this time next year?)
Man gets hit by Brick Phone! Ouch!
Yup that sounds about right. You never know, though. They are pushing pretty hard to get it going.
I don't think Shaw is trying too hard since there's no advertising on their own website, their own promotional spam or any other public indication they will have a wireless network. Being last to the wireless party will mean they will either need to have an unbelievable launch promo plan or they will substantially undercut their competitors.
In business, the saying goes that it's not best in market but first to market that counts.
