Who qualifies for the NVP program?
Several groups qualify for the program including employees of participating and some organizations which allow those with student status or membership such as participating credit unions, etc.
Are military veterans eligible for NVP discounts?
Yes, Army, Navy, Airforce and Marines are eligible. You may be asked to provide proof of your veteran status.
I am not sure if I am an employee or member of an organization which can receive the discount, how do I find out?
You can find out on sprint.com by going here. (Sprint.com / shop / promotions / employee perks)
When do I need to provide information that I qualify for NVP?
Effective November 2011, new and existing customers requesting NVP discounts are required to validate their qualification or when adding or changing the discount on their account.
How do I prove I am eligible for the NVP program company discount?
The most efficient way to validate employment is by providing a work, student or member email address using a name@corporatename.com email address on the NVP Web Form. Here is the web landing page where you can request the discount.
I do not have a work email address for requesting the discount. How else can I validate?
If you did not provide a work email address, you can also use the scan/fax path through by using the printed out Fax form on this page. These forms are also available at Sprint Retail Stores and by email through a customer Care request.
I currently do not have any email address, can I still request the discount?
Yes, go to your nearest Sprint Retail Store, and complete a hard copy form to be faxed to the Back Office team to apply the discount. Use the Sprint Store Locator to find the store nearest you. The fax number for the Back Office team to process manual NVP requests is 877-805-5870.
What is the process for Fax/scanning my request?
You will submit the appropriate, required information two ways, Fax or scanned email. For a Fax request, use 913-523-1987 or 877-687-8211. For a scan/email request, email NVP-EmpVerification@sprint.com
What other documentation do I need to provide with the Faxed/scanned document request?
You will be required to include one of the following:
• Employee photo ID badge
• Copy of pay stub your name and company, with amounts and other sensitive information blacked out
• Copy of unexpired corporate credit card with name of employee and the name of affiliated company
• Active Membership Card (for association membership, such as AAA or credit unions)
• Current account statement (for credit union or association membership)
• Unexpired credit union credit or debit card with member name
• Veteran's ID card, or discharge form DD214
Do I lose or reset my upgrade eligibility when they sign up for an NVP discount?
No, you must agree to a 2 year extension to the service agreement on the lines eligible for the discount, but the upgrade eligibility date is not reset.
How long does it take for my eligibility to be verified and go into effect?
Eligibility verification takes approximately three (3) business days after your application is received. Once approved, your discount will be applied to your account in 1 to 2 bill cycles
What if some of the lines on my account do not qualify for the NVP discount? How does the 2-year service agreement affect those lines?
The 2-year service agreement applies to lines that are discountable, so add-a-phone lines ranked 2+ on family/share plans, Simply Everything, Sprint Basic 200, Month to Month and non-discountable MBB plans are not required to accept a new 2-year agreement.
I am eligible to have my activation fee waived, when will it be removed from my bill?
After it is verified that your eligible to have the activation fee waved by calling care, it will automatically be removed before the first bill. Some systems do not automatically waive the fee, if this is the case, the amount will be applied within 30 days to your account.
If the discount information in the NVP Web Form shows activation fees are waived, does that mean upgrade fees are also?
No, activation fees and upgrade fees are two separate issues from a contractual standpoint. Upgrade fees are waived only if the discount information in the web form specifically states you qualify. It should be noted that very few discount programs will wave upgrade fees.
Why am I being asked to verify my eligibility again?
Effective 7/30/12. Existing customers who have received a discount for 20 months or more without providing proof of eligibility during that time, are required to prove their eligibility after a upgrade transaction. Customers have 30 days to provide proof of eligibility or the discount is removed from the account.
