Actually, although you do not pay for your 1st month UP FRONT, you are billed for it. So no, the activation kit does not include your first month, but yes, the activation kit is all you have to buy to go home and enjoy the service.

Does anyone have informed speculation on why T-Mobile doesn't make WiFi Calling available to WFM customers? All the reasons for having it available on TMO apply equally to us (better/flexible service in fringe areas, reduced bandwidth on the cell network, etc.) and I can't think of a downside to TMO to offer it. They have gone to a lot of trouble to implement the Kineto WiFi Calling app on their phones and provide the infrastructure support, so why not make it available to their wholesale customers?
No wifi calling because they want to attract contract customers. This comes straight from a Master Dealer agent's rep. T-Mobile is hemorrhaging contract custies and they need to build that back up to make themselves more attractive on the market. Thats why T-Mobile is also implementing a new look in their stores.
I am up for upgrade with t-mobile and want to buy the Galaxy S2. Through t-mobile it'll cost me $229 after rebate. Through walmart it's $188. Besides the price, anything different?
LTE has arrived. The third carrier in Las Vegas with 10x10 LTE coverage
Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network
I activated $30 Walmart plan last night and just received Galaxy Nexus, and have to say it's the ultimate awesomeness! Always wanted to have T-Mobile service and you simply can't beat $30 a month. T-Mobile is known to be maybe the best carrier in NYC along with Verizon LTE and since I really don't talk much this is as good as it gets.
Should I use a specific APN, or is there one that's faster than other?
Thanks!
Verizon Wireless 4G LTE
T-Mobile HSPA+42
I purchased a used HTC Mytouch 3g slide. I am using Family Mobile (Which uses the T-Mobile network). I put in my sim, entered my voicemail number in the settings screen, but the phone keeps changing my voicemail number to the number of the previous phone owner. I change it and it changes back. How can I fix this?
I've had Family Mobile for several months now on my Samsung Galaxy S, with no issues until 2 days ago. The day after making a payment my phone just stopped working. I can't send or receive messages of any type and anyone who calls my phone gets sent straight to vm. I can ONLY call out. I've called customer service and still have no answers. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm at a dead end here, no one seems to have any answers!
