If I get one living in an apartment complex, should I be concerned about neighbors being able to use it? Like how much data would it use through my wifi if multiple people can connect through it? Would to many people using it slow my data speeds down? If all it does is simply improve the voice signal with no real adverse effect on my equipment then I might consider it, however if the opposite then that won't work.

Hi Folks new to thread so please excuse my lack of forum norms. I have 2 iPhone 4s's, neither will connect to our NE, all other verizon products connect to the NE without issue. Tech support from Verizon has been working on this for days with no success. Only the 2 phones on the account do not connect, any other customer can connect at full bars. The NE according to Verizon works fine and is showing so, they cannot explain why all attempts to have the 4s phones connect and pair to the NE will not work. We're stumped, any experience with this out there? Thanks

Has your ticket been escalated to the NRB (Network Repair Bureau)? If not try to get that done next: I have had similar problems when the Droid 3 came out - the NRB was able to help with tweaked configuration and finally a beta version of firmware.... It's a bit strange that we don't see other iPhone users with the same issue...

I will check on that, I do know it has climbed up a hierarchy of tech support levels. I have to believe it is unique to our NE vs our phones as we are able to connect to other NErs on the verizon network, the only problem unit is the one we own. The last tech support said it would probably be at least 5 days until they sort thru it and come up with a solution. Thanks in advance

For the last week now I am having no luck sending Imessage's from my iphone. Normal texting works fine and when I get into native cell coverage it is working fine also. Can anyone else confirm that they too are having this trouble?

just wondering if anyone knew the type of connector on the end of the GPS antenna cable for the SCS-2U01. I need a 200-250ft run and its been impossible to locate a replacement that long. Any solutions?

Resetting my Netgear router solved this problem for me. The sad part is I returned two previous Network Extenders that wouldn't connect because neither I nor Verizon Support remembered to mention this. I now have recoreded that step so I won't forget it again. Thank you!!

Any way to bypass the GPS lock?

I know someone must be working on it.

Extended length antenna cable/high gain antenna with NE??

Need to find out if anyone has tried using one of the extended length, low-loss cables with a high gain antenna this is available for the NE. Gilsson has different length cables available for the AT&T, Verizon and Sprint devices.

We have a need to use NEs at one of my customer sites, but the team room is in the core of the building, away from windows. A 100-200' antenna cable should be long enough to get the antenna close to the nearest windows. Would just like to hear some feedback though from someone who's done this before spending the money on the equipment.

    Thanks all...

I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been a 4G LTE Network Extender for Verizon released yet?
You'd think they'd want them out there, so people in a 3G area would buy it and a 4G smartphone to at least get 4G at home.
But then again, what's the point when you can use WiFi at home?
=> Read my reviews for the Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, and Casio G'zOne Commando.

    => VX8000 at Disney World:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

It would be nice to have an LTE network extender that way my iPhone 5 won't be constantly switching between LTE & 3G. I have to turn LTE off whenever I am home and remember to turn it back on when I leave. If I leave LTE on the iPhone 5 will switch over to 1X for voice but within 10-15 seconds the call will go silent. If LTE is turned off I don't have this problem. Technical support did claim that the network extender is not compatible with the iPhone 5 and the only way to get to work properly was turn LTE off. They also claim a fix is in the works.

I just installed a Verizon Samsung extender and am using it with a new iphone 5. My problem is that the iphone does not stay connected to the extender. The phone drops back to 1-2 bars on the cellular service. Is this typical? Is there a solution? Do I need to shut off the LTE service when at home?
    Thanks

I've noticed with iPhone 5 the signal bar will show LTE when it can get it even though you might have a 5 bar 3G signal from the NE. I've not noticed it being an issue with making or receiving calls so I've done nothing special.

How does one know that they are connected to extender if the phone is showing 1-2 bars LTE or 3G on the phone screen? How well does the extender work if the local Verizon cellular signal is really weak.i.e., 0-1 bars? Does it need a cellular signal to work? Aren't all phone calls in and out over the cable connection?
    Thanks for your help
