I talked to Samsung and they quoted me $161 to replace the screen. They also said that if the board was bad, it is beyond economical repair. They suggested I take it to an AT&T store to let them look it over. I did and there was nothing they could do. At that point I decided to take matters into my own hand and try fixing the phone myself. Using some dissasembly instructions I found on the net, I was able to tear the phone down. I then took a q-tip soaked in alcohol to clean the board, shielding, connectors and switches. I was able to power on the phone. It came up with a harsh blue tint. I took it apart again and cleaned the video connector on the screen and board. Turned the phone on again and the screen came up with the normal white background. Everything seems to be working fine now.
