(Poll) Which carrier did you switch from?

Sure competition is a good thing. But I can't help but wondering whom this $35 all inclusive plan hurt the most. My guess is Wind mobile. Most people are still stuck with the big three by their 3 year contract. In the long run, I'd rather see Wind and Mobilicity merged to fight the big 3, than against each other.

I switched from Telus to Wind ...
... but due to call quality problems I switched to Mobilicity

One of my friends from Telus and one from Bell have also switched to $35 Mobi-deal

I was off contract with Bell. Briefly used PC Mobile prepaid for a month before landing the great $35 Mobi-deal.

cancelled my Fido contract and paid $100 for ECF. After all, Mobilicity gave me $100 credit so that covers it.

I was with Fido for 7 years, back in March switched to Wind and was with them until the beginning of Oct. Due to call quality and some really bad dead zones plus the 35 mobi deal I made the switch.

Boy I am happy now with my new carrier. The places where I used to get dead zones with Wind I have now full bars with Mobi...and the call quality is superior too...

Had a Telus line as my primary but switched my Fido Prepaid and made Mobilicity as my main line while giving my Telus line to a relative. Had already called Fido customer service telling them I was serious about signing a contract but would not give me any plan other than those on the website which was worse than my Telus line. I guess good thing they didn't give me a good offer cause this deal popped up and I took it no question.

Rogers stock took a hit yesterday.
    Now we know why!

The Big Three are going to suffer a bit - FINALLY!

Seriously, I see Mobilicity/Wind dealers all around my area, which were previously Fido/Rogers/Bell dealers before.

I cancelled my Fido contract and paid a $40 ECF. Just wish the dead zones got fixed.

You're right, I checked several times before I cancelled my Fido contract, it cannot be any less than $100.

the more people that sign up with mobilicity the more money to build/expand their coverage and the less money to the greedy scum Robellus
I cracked & signed up with Telus. I couldnt resist the Free Phone, $300 airtime credit, and EPP ($20+tax : 350mins, unlimited early evngs /wknds, cd, vm, unlimited NA txts, NO SAFS or 911) With the $300 credit its like having a free year of phone service.

Minimum ECF is $100 or $200 depending on when they signed up and/or what their plans are, according to Fido's ECF policy on their website.

    Edit:
kav2001c, actually you are right, I figured out their policy has this statement:

If you have subscribed to your monthly plan before February 1, 2007 and you continue or renew on the same monthly plan on a 2- or 3-year term, the ECF will be equal to $20 times the number of months remaining in the term, to a maximum of $200 (plus applicable taxes).

this case it's just $20 x month to maximum $200.
    Thanks for your correction.
