If you want to make your own way you should open up your own store, you will never truly get that working for anyone.

robert i started back in january... i am still waiting for something i DONT like about CSOKI. So far I have never had a bad experience. The leaders are helpful and dont micro manage. So far, I feel that if there is a jesus he finally threw me some luck because Ive had some ****** jobs and this one I could easily see myself growing it into a career. The pay is amazing (used to work for an ATT indirect) and the people are awesome. Haters are gonna hate but numbers dont lie. Corporate stores close, CSOKI takes over.

ps, theres no penalties or quotas like the corporate stores, from what i hear if you dont want a smartphone the corporate employees basically tell you to get the **** out. we are evenly compensated for every phone even iphones (used to make ZERO off iphone sales working on full commission at Planet Cellular indirect for ATT)... so we can easily make sure the client gets exactly what they want. Its a win win for everyone working at CSOKI, and I have no reason to brag on a random forum. If the job sucked, i'd tell you, but truth is its the best job i've ever/will ever have. =]

Thanks for the reply, I also feel this was an answer to prayer so to speak. I am over 50 with 25 years of experience in Business Telephone System, from tech, service manager, sales you name it. This company fits me like a glove so far, as far as the comment bt the previous poster about making my own way buy opening my own store, I have owned my own business, this gives me many of the benefits of that with few of the drawbacks, perhaps if I were still in my 20's or 30's I would think that way. This "job" brought me out of retirement so to speak and as you say I am now looking at it as a new career. Thanks for your feedback, I don't worry bout the haters, been online a long time... since 300 baud BBS's ... they will always be there! Peace.

OK it's been a few weeks now. I have been on the floor for a month and because of the "ramp up" bonus schedule I have been working my tail off! I have to say I am very pleased with the way it's going so far. The other reps have been very helpful when I do a "new guy" screw up and not only explain what I did wrong but show me how to fix it! I have been able to hit some really nice bonuses that will tide me over until the "paycheck" comes through. I have been working many shifts at different stores in order to gain more exposure and although there are a few reps I would rather not work with on a regular basis, it's more because of personality then anything else. The vast majority of those I have worked with so far I found to be honest and ethical as well as driven to do a professional job. I am very happy at CellularSales and hope to be here for a long time to come. I must say it hasn't been "easy" but nothing worth doing is. The customers really do come first and nothing less than fantastic service is expected, I think if you maintain that attitude and really strive to understand the customers needs and fill them with the right solutions you will do very well here. Time will tell, all new brooms sweep clean, but I am very excited and encouraged by what I have seen so far.

How can you really build a rapport with customer when you can't stay in the same store all the time? Hope that they will be patient and wait for you to be at that location again?

Well for one I put my number in their phone, I give a business card. Then follow up with a thank you card and a phone call. The idea is build the personal rapport, and if they don't want to call me or wait until I'm in that store, then I guess I didn't build a relationship after all. I do like working just a few stores on a steady schedule, that way people know when you will be there every week. It's only fair that you get to work more than one store, those in a high traffic area would make all the money and those in new stores would suffer. This way it balances.

I try to set appointments with customers in the future. Sometimes, someone may not be eligible for an upgrade the day they come in, but when they are, I want to be the first contact they have and I'm someone they have met before, not a stranger in a call center, etc. Some stores are also busier than others. I may work a slower store to give me more time to call and set appointments for later in the week or even that day.

CSOKI must not be happy with the tightening margins either as they are getting ready to start selling DirecTV also.
