Got it! Great! Except my battery life just went out the window. Anyone else notice a difference in their battery life?

Question about Froyo on the Desire

I was under the impression that with Froyo, users would be able to trigger voice dialing via a BT device (i.e. press button on a BT headset to trigger voice dialing). Can anyone confirm this works now?

    TIA,

I have noticed a big difference in my battery life, but it seems to be that my Wi-Fi keeps enabling and then disabling itself. Anyone else having this issue?

I can confirm that pressing the bluetooth dial button now brings up Cyberon voice comman!

Anyone notice that the media volume is lower after the update? (say listening to songs)?

Media sounds the same to me. Call volume however seems to be louder from the earpiece, not the speaker though.

Anyone having an issue where the autocomplete bar jumps around the screen as you type? Extremely irritating, might have something to do with having the HTC IME MOD installed before the update though.

Yes I noticed that as well. I found the music volumes to be lower especially with headset on but all other volumes seem to be the same.

I was wondering about this too. If the process of installing an update ota involves basically ftp'ing a update.zip file to your phone, then shouldn't we be able to copy the update.zip off an upgraded phone to get a package that can be used by others? Others being, this guy on Rogers, or those of us who upgraded to Leedroid, or CM6 before? Just curious for those that want to go back to 'mainstream'... aka the TELUS wait.

    Here is the OTA update:

Before launching it....be sure to have 90mo on the SD card free and 25mo on the phone.

Here is the RUU for flashing (useful to flash away and return to "stock" for warranty:

Dumb question (#2) - what BT headset are you using? I just picked up a Desire (Saturday) and was able to pair/use my Plantronics Discovery 520, but no matter what I do, I can not trigger the phone's voice dial capability via the headset.

I don't want to be messing around with unlocking the screen and then hitting the icon to get it to work if I can avoid it.

    Thanks!
