    H2O Wireless Account PIN

Is there a default PIN on H2O Wireless accounts, like the last four of the phone number? I ask because the website asks for an account password for email support but I never set one up -- I used the port in form and there's no field to specify a password. I see no such field on the activation form either.

Or do I need to call to set an account password too? I know you need to call to get your account number if you want to port out.

Despite what another thread here indicates, H2O Wireless customer service told me that they match PagePlus in this regard:

    Account Number == Full Phone
Account PIN == Last four of phone number
Account Name == Doesnt Matter, they don't record it

Since this thread comes up on a Google search, thought I'd post back that I've confirmed the info in my second post as I have ported out to Tmobile.

this makes it much easier now to know that information. Im eventually going to port out of h2o but didnt find this anywhere on the h20 site.

As for account name, you sure it doesnt matter? because when I activated and ported to them the site asks for your name. I have also activate a h2o account without porting a number and that form also asks for your first and last name.

Heres a question. When you activated a new account at the very bottom is says: "H2O® Activation - Only $39.99 PIN(OPTIONAL)"

What is that $39.99 charge for? I left that space blank and had no problem but it seemed like an activation fee but probably is something else. What is it?

Yes. You have to provide a name both to H2O (in and out) but apparently they don't record it. I know this because they had no idea who I was when I called about my account.

The H2O Activation is for activating their monthly service. If you activate on the minute (paygo) or day ($1/per day) plan you don't need to put that PIN in.

so there is a $39 activation fee for unlimited plans on h2o? That makes no sense at all, its like they are robbing you for the money.

No. There is no activation fee. The $39 is your first month's payment. If you activate a monthly plan, you get NO free time. Hence you must pay for your first month (with a PIN) immediately.

Thanks for posting back to confirm the info. I just bought an ATT phone online and asked to transfer my current H20 cell number to ATT.

I couldn't find any account or pin number on their website or in the packaging and receipts I've kept since activating the phone.

Hope it works...will post back on that.

This info is not correct any longer. Account number is now the full SIM number and the PIN is the last 4 digits of the SIM number.

This is correct. Just got the info from h2o support...
Account number is = first 16 digits on the back of the sim card
pin#= last 4 digits on the back of the sim (17-20 digits)

    update-
while trying to port the number with the above information given by an h20 support staff, the response from them came negative (incorrect account number).
The correct account number will be the complete 20 digit number at the back of the sim card
and the pin is last 4 digits in the same number.

Did the port go through with this information ?

    Thank you for the information.
I have a PTel SIM and $40 PIN and when the BlackWireless time is almost over I would like to move the number over to PTel since it is a clean number without getting spammed and any calls from strangers.

That Red Pocket plan sounds great.
A friend of mine is quite interested in that one since it fits his needs pretty well.
Since I am near Wi-Fi almost all the time cellular data isn't really that important for me.

Sent from my Fantastic Galaxy S2
