Sounds like you're looking for Clear's 4G+ service which is dual mode 3G/4G. The service is $55/mo + equipment (rental or purchase). You can get either a USB modem or a HotSpot.

i live in nyc and am on the move alot within the 5 major boroughs of the city, i am looking to obtain a mobile 4g internet service for my laptop and also use it as a personal internet connection when i get home. I'm only intrested in having mobile service, going to clears website is a little confusing, cause they claim to have a $35 dollar service which is for home, which i'm guessing is some kind landline service?
I'm intrested in getting 4g service whether thethering it from a phone company like sprint htc evo 4g, or whatever. Lowest cost solution is my goal, but for fully functional working 4g and no crap ping access times

have there been complaints about ping or connection problems? i seen other posts about supposed capping, in there advertisement they state unlimited, if i'm going to give my money i want to get what i paid for. i want to make the right choice even if it means tethering 4g through a phone, reliablity is basically my concern.
with a 4g service it better be plug and stream instantly without a single issue with the internet? if any got indepth on this matter, that'd be great
Ping tends to be a little high, which is only a concern if you are a gamer. I've also seen some markets with lower ping times. I guess it depends on Clear's setup in a particular market.
Capping wise; most of their rules are already posted on this forum, so if you stay within the guidelines you'll be ok.
