    - the "premium" waterproof clamshell 004SH with 9.6 MP CCD;

    - the 3D-capable Android Galapagos 003SH with 9.6 MP CCD and 3.8-inch screen;

    - the 3D-capable Android Galapagos 005SH QWERTY slider with 8 MP CMOS and 3.8-inch screen;

    Android clamshell might come along soon.

    I suppose the 002SH is the most interesting there for me, but I will most likely be getting a 940/945SH or equivalent.

    Don't know why Sharp chose to use a CMOS camera on the QWERTY slider, but I'd either go for that or a clamshell -the hardware keyboard is a must for me. I guess these (and follow up) 3D keitais will never make it to Europe, or at least not Sharp's. And I can bet Samsung or LG will be selling 3D phones in Europe and the US within a year, advertising them as "the world's first".

    It sure is strange they didn't just port the 9.6MP CCD from 003SH to 005SH. And the 002SH and 004SH isn't very exciting or attractive.

    So I watched Softbank's SH003 ad with the phone fledging around the screen and now I'm in love with it. It's funny how that works :P

    Sharp said they switched to CMOS to make the phone thinner, it seems.

    i am liking the 005sh....what's the major difference between CCD and CMOS... i know CMOS is cheaper to produce... but does it affect image quality as well by a lot?

    i mean... the 003sh looks sort of like the xperia x10....the 055sh on the other hand looks a bit more sleek... i guess its the lack of curves on the phone which is why i like my sh-07b so much....

    docomo better bring something out to compete with the 005sh lol... i am looking forward to it... since texting on the phone is very important to me... and since they got rid of T9... i am having trouble texting efficiently on my phone right now lol

    Thats a good point mrAlex.. I just bought a new pointandshoot Casio, and it uses a CMOS sensor; which allows it to do highspeed shots and ultra slow motion video. What i have been learning lately is that the lens plays a bigger part in it than the sensor; and all these lenses are going to be the same (i am keen to see the pictures taken by the Panasonic Lumix camera). But also i want to know how thick the 005SH is - i'm guessing it will be a bit chunky

    The 003SH and 005SH have "Japan W-CDMA system, foreign W-CDMA system, GSM system (900/1800/1900MHz), HSDPA (7.2 Mbps), HSUPA (2Mbps), quoted from Hatena (http://d.hatena.ne.jp/h-gocchi/20101105/p1).

    They are advertised as having "global support". Um... what does this mean? Any chances for us who are outside of Japan?

    If I recall CCD has better low-light performance than CMOS, but in turn is larger, more expensive to produce and saps more power. Personally I think its worth the tradeoff as I'm loving the quality on my SH-06A.

    About being big, a guy in my class was saying how thin his iPhone 4 is compared to my SH-07B. I told him being more than twice the resolution of his and with a better lens he then said that 'my phone can draw pictures on the screen while yours can't'. I flipped the screen around and used the handwriting function with the touch screen. He was left speechless.
