Desire and MMS

so my Desire is rooted, running VillianRom1.0, and i cant send MMS.

i called yesterday to get my MMS fixed, and they fixed it. but today (long story short) i had to reflash the rom, and now my MMS wont work, it just gives me "generic network failure".

i re-entered all the correct APN settings but still no luck...any ideas out there?

I had a similar problem with my Desire. I had Leedroid on it at the time. Went thru Telus level one and level two support to see if I had a setting wrong. But no help. After the time I spent on Level two I decided I probably didn't have a Telus problem, but rather a Desire problem.

Then I installed CM6, and tried again. Voila, worked fine. Yeah, I miss a bit of the Sense UI bit. I bought Beautiful Widgets to get the nice clock back. Weather, well, it' not as nice without UI. But other things I like better about CM6.

Plus now I have MMS.. give it a try.

ya it kind of sorted itself out...dont know how but its all good now...

You should try VillianRom, it has all the goodies of sense (minus the widgets and dock) while still keeping the dialer, contacts, etc...)
it even has the senseHD messaging app...pretty solid if you ask me.

I have this problem on my Desire too, and it's not even rooted. I'm running the Froyo update from Telus. :|

TELUS SMS/MMS goes crazy once in a while. Re-booting the fone sometimes helps but it's usually a temporary network problem. I've been experiencing this problem off and on for years. Already remember to ask tech support to flush your message queue when you talk to them. A stuck message can give you those kinds of problems too.
