Hmmm, if getting subsidized phone pricing means losing this plan (and unlimited data for that matter), I may be buying phones outright in the foreseeable future.

Hemm upgraded a phone with subsidy last week. It show unlimited data at 29.99. The $20 data discount doesn't show just like mine upgrade from 1-2 month ago after Vzw had updated their web Site. Ordered a sum card for an phone that is not eligible for upgrade yet, and the price is showing 29.99 for unlimited and $6 corp discount. Hemm wonder if their system is being updated or is the sim request different.

Same here the discount stopped showing but my bill is correct.
When I did the upgrade I mentioned the discount and the reps assured me that it would stay.
Now my only question is... the new phones that come via FedEx, do I need to activate them or can I just sell them? One rep said I need to activate the new phone with the SIM provided then swap back to my old device, another said since I already accepted the terms on myverizon I dont need to do anything else.

You should be able to activate the new phone online rather than opening the box.

I spoke with several CSRs about this they said as long as I call the 877# for activation's and press 1 to activate and accept the terms and conditions then press 2 to activate later, it will clear it out of the system.
I pressed activate later : it said " thanks for accepting terms and conditions" when you are ready call 800-227-1073
Hope it works out well. Already sold a phone.

Just updated with a verizon.com purchase. Will have to call Monday to make sure they got it right. The paperwork on my daughter's upgrade at Radio Shack showed the discount. Mine that came with the phone shipped from verizon did not. I am expecting no problems, since others have kept their discount after calling.

Think it is safe to add a line? I have this promotion on 3 lines (saving $60 per month) and don't want to risk losing it if I add a line......

Interesting that RS has the discount. My corp paperwork does not. MyVerizon does not either. But reps confirm its there.
One of my friends accounts added a line w/ the double data promo and everything was good. I think you should be fine.
As always, YMMV.
Just make sure none of the other lines are touched. Ask reps to confirm discounts and exp. date of 2038, ask them to note it in your account

I would do it now... I thought the new shared data plans go in to effect over the next day or two which will make retaining unlimited data less likely...
