Those are great speeds! I know Comcast has some 50/10 and 100/10 tiers, but they are $$$$$! I mean, I don't need uber speeds THAT bad lol

Honestly i really don't need those crazy speeds either... Those types of speeds are good for large companies, or if your doing massive amounts of streaming.

I agree, though I wish we could get fast, cheap fiber like they have in Japan and South Korea!

Fiber nationwide would not be cheap. We don't have the population density South Korea and Japan has.

Fiber backhaul for Verizon in Southern Illinois in 2013 - about time.

    Yup.
Korea has 10 million more people than the whole state of California, living in an area smaller than 1/4 the size of California

Japan has more than 3 times the population of California, living in an area nearly the size of Calfornia.

    Density:
    South Korea: +1271/sq mile
    Japan: +873/sq mile
    California 242/sq mile
    USA 87/sq mile

For a 'city', that density would be great... for a complete country, its quite high. Bycomparison - most cities have only double that density (San Fran/Boston, etc are much higher).
    AT&T... your world, throttled.

Made the drive from Milwaukee, WI to Madison, WI then to Wisconsin Dells, WI and back yesterday (and didn't do the driving for the first time in awhile!)

Here are some tests from my iPhone 4S when it was displaying 4G. Did about 200 total tests on the ~ 270 mile trip and these are the best ones.

Coverage in Wisconsin Dells (travel spot) is pretty spotty and poor with AT&T, it seems to have gotten worse lately. Was "Searching" for signal for quite some time (like around Portage, WI), spent a lot of time on Edge, and data/speedtests would not work at all, couldn't even send out texts (like at the Wilderness-Glacier resort)

Compared to Verizon 4G on HTC T-Bolt:

And 3G on Verizon Droid X2:

    Home ISP, RR-Ultimate WiFi, $90/mo | Verizon 4G, $30/mo Unlimited

    School, $5,000/semester | Work

You should look into their business grade internet, you pay $20 more at a minimum but get truly unlimited data and the speed boost is extremely generous. I was able to achieve 110mbps download with it though the Comcast speed test site and also testmy.net

FINALLY BROKE INTO THE 7's ...
    iPhone 4S on AT$T: Unlimited Talk, Text & Web w/NO throttling….
iPhone 4 on Boost Mobile: Talk, text, MMS & 3G Data .. since 6.11.12

If you can't see that todays society has gone to sh*t, then you ARE the problem or PART of the problem…

Just got my new iPad today and I am getting AMAZING speeds on AT&T's 4G LTE network. These tests were done in Dallas, GA (Metro Atlanta) The first was my best result, 2nd was on HSPA+ and the 3rd is an LTE test in a notoriously weak AT&T spot with only one bar of service.
